I think this will upset alot of people that are abusing this method to trick new players

So it servers as a warning, a tip but also showing how you could fool and take gil from others (which I don't support but have to show to warn people)


I saw soooooo many items on the Market board that you can simply buy from a vendor it's ridiculous, so that tells me alot of people don't know to google an FF14 item before buying

I don't see an issue making money off people who are too lazy to do something. *shrug* Gatherers already make money off crafters who are too lazy to get their own mats, why stop there?

Lol there are already many videos on that topic. One more video won’t change a thing. If someone is too lazy to even read the item’s tool tip (no need to google the price, only to find the vendor when you are new), they are very likely too lazy to google for market board tricks which can also be figured out easily without tutorials .

When I am in another town and need a specific item for a quest that is sold by a vendor, I may be ready to pay a reasonable mark-up instead of travel back and forth ( which costs either gils or 2 aetheryte tickets) to where the vendor is or wait for my retainers to bring me back some mats.

Also, many gathered items sell for less than the game’s vendors. Some people also sell items for less than vendors purchase price.

I tried that and got few sales but all that dried up fast. It is much better to gather mats and craft stuff yourself and sell that or use it. To properly sell from a vendor you have to be at the market board all day and I hate that. Sales from vendors suck.

Agreed. Make too many of an item and you've got slots on your retainers being wasted trying to sell junk as everyone and their mother competes to undersell your listings. Of course there are way better ways to make gil, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna make a video about it.

You gotta be diverse when selling things like that. While one item might become oversaturated other items will suddenly become premium for an afternoon or so. Also, do your ShB and EW fates. If you are sitting on binome gems or whatever they are called then you are sitting on a pile of gil!
