Because when you are the healer, you are monitoring people's status, debuffs, raid mechanics, their health etc. Tanks position the boss, and use mitigation, maybe a targeted protection here or there but they are not spending so much time focused on the rest of the parties status.

Personally, especially now after my interaction with a raider I really think healer should stay the way it is, some guy actually asked for my parses because it "matters" to do savage lmao as a healer.

You can't be bothered to learn and just want to complain that "it's too hard" because that's easier and it's sad.
I could be bothered to learn, I just don't want to, and I don't think healer the role subject for so much responsibility should be subject to that. Tank is one thing less responsibility, dps is just kill things, but healer is every role combined tbh if you want to be honest. I can break down my thoughts on this if you really want me to.

Specifically on the parse aspect, if you were looking to join a midcore static or higher, it’s not that far-fetched for them to ask for parses since their goals are generally more than “clear once a week for gear”. Join a group that doesn’t ask for them, but don’t be miffed when a private static does. Not your business to dictate their recruitment. And why are you getting upset because groups want to know what kind of player they may be getting for a Savage group?

For a healer, logs are quite important. They want to know how well you’re performing your role—which, according to your statement below, is basically the most important role in a group. Why wouldn’t they want to know how you perform in high-end content? It’s the same for any other role, but especially for a healer.

Weak excuse. If you don’t want to learn your job, then please leave it to those of us who do. Healer responsibility is quite low. Considering I can heal both EX primals with just oGCDs…

Obviously if I'm rocking BIS, and there isn't much of a opener/rotation for healer, that means that I know how to do my job? It's just elite mentality IMO, also why would your goal be anything more than clearing for gear? Get your gear clear for everyone and get out, what else is there to it? Imagine if healers were more complex only to let elitest raiders try to set requirements higher for what you must "prove" in order to be dignified good enough to clear them. Smh this is why I can't stand raiders.

We all derive our fun differently. For some, parsing higher is what gives them the thrills, since a clear is just repeating something they've already done countless times. If you don't like that playstyle, join other groups that don't do it, but as much as you think your opinions matter, other people's playstyle and fun matters too.

Um. No. It doesn’t. Gear is meaningless if you have zero desire to learn your job.

Also there is plenty to do other than just getting gear. Parsing/chasing leaderboards. Speedkilling. Playing other jobs in the content. Trying different strats. Preparing for Ultimate. There’s plenty more than just “getting your gear and getting out”.

Everything you just mentioned outside of clearing ultimate is meaningless. If there are players who are chasing higher numbers for ego then i feel bad for them. It’s a game winning is all that matters. Aka clearing and getting your gear.

This once again where the "group school project" analogy displays wonderfully how the actual scene works.

The group project requires 8 of you to put out an effort with value of 80 out of 100 at minimum. In a glance, it's very obvious that everybody has to contribute at least 10 each to meet that quota so it'd be fair, isn't it? After all, they're a group and should share the burden... Unfortunately reality isn't THAT ideal. Not every people are wired the same: they tend to have different methodology & capabilities to reach that +10 quota. Sometimes there will be a few that lags behind and just can't seem to keep up with their better groupmate in such task. Now their better groupmate has to work an extra legwork to compensate, more than just getting +10 quota because anything below 80 won't cut out.

Clearing for those gears requires effort and most importantly, time. These groups often has a set goal when will they expect to get their clears and eventually gearing up. Time spent on scheduling the right raiding hours. Time spent on learning encounter. Time spent on planning resources. Time spent of trials and errors. Time spent on farming. All 8 players banding together willingly spend their times for said goal. Do you really honestly willing to take in players who do not wish to contribute even the bare minimum, effectively risking to waste the time that 7 other players willing to offer for said goals? This is where the parse data comes in to play: it helps them to gauge whether a player is even worthy according to their group's criteria to be trialed or take in. If I can mitigate the stark possibility of wasting my other group's time, I will do that.

That being said, it still depends on what kind of group you're looking forward to join. Join a group that clearly doesn't share your goal & worse, conflicting visions, then you're in for a bad time.

If someone is BIS has cleared extremes and normals in EW that should tell you they can “handle it”

That would be false. Just because YOU find it meaningless doesn’t mean that it is.

Hardly, considering current BiS can be gotten from spamming Expert Roulette, and the two current EXs can be done without a healer at all. Normal modes are joke. Always have been. Aside from the fact that carries are always possible.
