I'm pretty sure the "people can still be turned into blasphemies" bit is a Doylist answer for why the Role Quests are still a thing after the completion of the MSQ. I'm not expecting them to have any presence in the future.

Between all the hints Emet-Selch gave us in Ultima Thule, I'm honestly not sure where things are going to go from here. That said the only hint with any weight I can think of is Montichaigne's lecture on the memory erasure of the Seventh Umbral Calamity's aftermath, and that Lorens (the erstwhile commander of the Company of Heroes) promises to meet you again after the Melee DPS role quest, but comments he might not / probably won't remember you due to his flighty personality. That and Corvos is mentioned a lot, so.

That will only be the case if some how all countries manage to deal with the Blasphemies on their own and regions we have not been to has no Blasphemies appear in the Final Days.

However, as the MSQ for endwalker established, Blasphemies will continue to be a threat on the planet from now on but should be not as frequent since the Final Days has been averted. The risk is still there but not as great compared to the Final Days.

Regions that do not have contact with Eorzea and/or any regions that do have contact with Eorzea will also lack critical information about how to handle Blasphemies and prevent the spread of people turning into Blasphemies.

Eorzea and the regions that make contact with Eorzea will no doubt deal with all Blasphemies issues easily thanks to the information provided by WoL and the Scions along with having a united effort against Blasphemies but the other regions we have not been to are most likely not so prepared to fight Blasphemies.

Story wise, one possibility is that Blasphemies become diverted to more side content focus while Season 2 Main Story focus on the new Antagonist. However, we can't ignore the possibility of Blasphemies playing a role again in the Main Storyline for Season 2 since we are very much in the dark to where Season 2 may go story wise for the antagonist.

I said it in my past comment in other post but one theory I have with Season 2 storyline is that they may go down the Warrior of Despair path which is a very young concept SE introduced into the FF series with their game Final Fantasy Mobius which is sadly shutdown now.

The other is that Season 2 may involve something that Azem was dealing with but could not defeat in Ancient times so he/she made preparations for WoL to defeat this old threat due to how part of the focus for going to these new locations for Season 2 is about continuing Azem's job of being a adventurer. Not to mention the possibility Season 2 may focus on who Azem was.
