Yeah, probably new season will be seeing the WoL traveling to far away lands to avoid their fame chain them down again and be able to start as an anonymous adventurer once more. Following that pattern either the New World or Meracydia are good places to go, on closer places the WoL be too famous

I don't know if this got built on in a role quest I haven't done yet, but there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot during MSQ of X'rhun Tia and Nashmeira walking together in Ala Mhigo and I was all excited when I spotted them. Two people affiliated with the Scions (regardless of meeting the WoL or not), one of whom is an expert on the phenomenon of despair manifesting as monsters... and nothing came of it in the main story.

I think it's an overreach to say that the MSQ has established that blasphemies will continue to be an issue. The ones in the role quests (having been intended to be dealt with mid-MSQ but needing a justification to exist beyond it) may just be a temporary lingering effect afterwards.

Hunting blasphemies may be a necessary occupation for some while, if they continue to spawn, but I don't see any reason or specific base to build a playable job around the concept. Between their restriction to a specific period of MSQ - certainly a specific starting point even if you want to debate whether it has ended - and the fact that we are dealing with them perfectly well with our current jobs, it is not something that requires a specific weapon or fighting style.

I don't interpret the mention of the memory loss at Carteneau as tying into any of the new plot elements, beyond that it's a convenient practical example of the phenomenon of memory loss through aether exposure while neatly resolving a previous plot hole.

With the prior explanation of the memory loss being a vague explanation of "something to do with Louisoix casting a spell to send the Warrior of Light into the future", that only made sense for legacy players who actually were at Carteneau to be sent. For players whose journey started with A Realm Reborn, it raised awkward questions of whether the earlier game they hadn't played is also supposed to be canon for them.

It is mostly speculation to begin with.

This speculation is focused more on the unknown regions anyways which we know very little about plus the combination of knowing that there are people researching into Dynamis in small numbers. Also, I am not talk about Blasphemies being a major issue but a small issue threat since there should be no question that all civilizations may have a blasphemies problem during the final days. That moment in the MSQ I am talking about even said while Blasphemies will continue to exists they should not be a major issue now after events of 6.0 MSQ. However, this comment is more towards Eorzea and locations that make contact with Eorzea due to the knowledge they know about the events of the Final Days so they are more prepared and organized to deal with it. We don't know how the regions in Season 2 may have handled the appearance of Blasphemies during the Final Days nor if the Final Days was the only source of Blasphemies.

If Dancer Job story is a indication Blasphemies have existed for a long time before the Final Days but small in numbers this could mean in one of the unknown regions there could be a Job organization that have dedicated themselves with hunting Blasphemies before they became well known by the time of the Final Days due to having more issues involving Dynamis that we are unaware about. This could also be a negative effect of someone researching into Dynamis before the events of the Final Days or something else.

6.0 was more of a introduction to Dynamis, what effects it has, and that there are people researching it for a long time. How long and what they have discovered is still in the unknown. If there is a civilization in the unknown regions we head to in Season 2 that have a better understanding of Dynamis, there could be high risk that there has always been someone or something that knows how to turn people into Blasphemies before events of the Final Days beyond just Meteion as well. The obvious reason we may never have heard about it is due to how little contact this unknown region has with Eorzea and the countries that make contact with Eorzea so lacking information between regions is common with such low amount of contact.

As Emet said before he left, there is much about the world we don't know about and our knowledge has been greatly limited to only what Eorzea and the countries that make contact with Eorzea knows. We can't be certain quite yet if the whole Blasphemies issue is over for good nor if it may continue until we get a understanding into where Season 2 maybe heading. We can only guess at this point.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know a lot of people are expecting the whole Dynamis and Blasphemies to be a over as a one and done thing for 6.0 and Season 2 focus on something completely unknown to everyone but in my opinion the effects of the Final Days aftermath and revealing of Dynamis research happening for a very long time is not something that can be just wiped off and ignore so easily. Not to mention if the Dancer Job has always dealt with early Blasphemies that means Blasphemies always existed before the Final Days but possibly in smaller numbers due to how difficult it was for someone or something to create or turn into Blasphemies. We also know very little about what Dynamis research involved as they did intentionally ignore this side about the topic since 6.0 focus was more about introducing Dynamis.
