I just want to say I am absolutely impressed so many people are coming together, putting their heads together, to try and solve this issue while the company isn't. Like we have legit hardware designers up in here adding to the equation.

No video game website will have an article that says "Final Fantasy XIV's Audio is Buggy, Here's What the Community Is Trying to Do to Fix it" but they sure will go on about low polygon grapes...

Could someone try to get in touch with that sound dev we had our little twitter interaction before? Perhaps link him this thread. I know english is not his primary language but I'm sure he would be able to get some useful information about the issue at hand. It might be desperate but hell, what else can we do - for sure not play the game we have payed for! )))))

Ok, the new Immerse Audio Gamepack developed by Embody might be the responsible for all the issues we've been having including the Directx 11 errors. Doesn't matter if you have it installed or not, the game changed something in order to be compatible with the Immersive Gamepack.

It's no coincidence that Embody's setup guide says that "some ambiental sounds are affected" and that you should "lower your audio sample rate on WINDOWS to avoid crashes/stuttering", what is going on?. Then again, doesn't matter if you have it enabled or not, of course the devs had to change something in order to make the 6.0 version compatible with Embody's new plugin.

Embody's team is very, very small. They're gathering "some" feedback from twitter and are saying that they are reporting bugs to the devs, which makes the bug solving take more time than usual.

Square should've developed this plugin/feature themselves if they wanted to add something cool like this. FFXIV is such a code fest that you shouldn't rely on 3rd party plugins.

It's a good feature I'm not gonna lie, it sounds great when it works, but not worth at all with these many issues. We never had this many audio issues before.

Right now, the thing people need most is someone from the team to just say
"We are aware of crackling/popping audio for some users after Endwalker's release and are investigating the cause. We will post on the Ongoing Issues page when we have new information."
It would create peace of mind.

Also have had this issue since 6.0, tried all the suggestions to no avail. I will note however, that the installing the trial version of immerse spatial audio did seem to help until 6.01 as others have also mentioned, now it doesn't seem to make any difference whether it's on and running or not.

Another user mentioned adjusting power settings (back a couple pages), and adjusting ffxiv to high priority in task manager, this seemed to help a bit? So may be worth trying but like everybody else, nothing seems to fix it completely. At this point I've just gotten used to it, cheers to all the people actively trying to troubleshoot as it seems we'll be on our own for a while :/

Just adding my voice to this - also having this problem. My bug report is here if you wanted all the details, such as my hardware and everything I tried to fix it - I tried to be as thorough as a possible. The fact that changing the camera angle alleviates the stuttering problem, even when there are loads of characters on the screen shooting off combat skills, points directly at the new spatial audio as the culprit. The amount of visual effects on the screen doesn't change, merely the camera angle, which would affect the audio direction.

I understand that there might be multiple sources for this problem, so it could be incredibly difficult to track down and fix every one of them, which I realize takes time. I just hope it doesn't take half a year.

Also check page 40 of the thread - we did recently get acknowledgement that they are aware that there is still a problem. Very upsetting that they're still telling us to do stuff that is confirmed to not work.

If you haven't yet submitted a bug report, please PLEASE do so, and try to be as detailed as possible - the variety of hardware this is occurring on, and all the steps you've taken to try to resolve it, will really help developers try to pin this down, plus if we increase the volume of bug reports it will really emphasize how much of a problem this is.

It seems people have informed Soken about the issues with AMD's FX series processors and the unsolved stuttering/popping. I wish I could still keep my hopes up but perhaps you guys will be able to get some satisfaction from his response acknowledging us.

I do get some hope from this. Even if it's not officially stated by the company about audio issues, we see Soken did not brush it off and has said they are running tests to find the cause as it appears this was an "unknown bug", and something they didn't predict to happen.

Yh he did say they couldn't reenact it in their environment and stated that everyone should report it with their system info. Do not forget to do that guys https://support.eu.square-enix.com/f...2&p=0&fo=90048
