Completely agree playing with NO AUDIO since shortly after 6.0 to avoid the ear splitting noise and still no fix just some half baked comments.

Also have had this issue since 6.0, tried all the suggestions to no avail. I will note however, that the installing the trial version of immerse spatial audio did seem to help until 6.01 as others have also mentioned, now it doesn't seem to make any difference whether it's on and running or not.
Another user mentioned adjusting power settings (back a couple pages), and adjusting ffxiv to high priority in task manager, this seemed to help a bit? So may be worth trying but like everybody else, nothing seems to fix it completely. At this point I've just gotten used to it, cheers to all the people actively trying to troubleshoot as it seems we'll be on our own for a while :/
Just adding my voice to this - also having this problem. My bug report is here if you wanted all the details, such as my hardware and everything I tried to fix it - I tried to be as thorough as a possible. The fact that changing the camera angle alleviates the stuttering problem, even when there are loads of characters on the screen shooting off combat skills, points directly at the new spatial audio as the culprit. The amount of visual effects on the screen doesn't change, merely the camera angle, which would affect the audio direction.
I understand that there might be multiple sources for this problem, so it could be incredibly difficult to track down and fix every one of them, which I realize takes time. I just hope it doesn't take half a year.
Also check page 40 of the thread - we did recently get acknowledgement that they are aware that there is still a problem. Very upsetting that they're still telling us to do stuff that is confirmed to not work.
If you haven't yet submitted a bug report, please PLEASE do so, and try to be as detailed as possible - the variety of hardware this is occurring on, and all the steps you've taken to try to resolve it, will really help developers try to pin this down, plus if we increase the volume of bug reports it will really emphasize how much of a problem this is.

It seems people have informed Soken about the issues with AMD's FX series processors and the unsolved stuttering/popping. I wish I could still keep my hopes up but perhaps you guys will be able to get some satisfaction from his response acknowledging us.

I do get some hope from this. Even if it's not officially stated by the company about audio issues, we see Soken did not brush it off and has said they are running tests to find the cause as it appears this was an "unknown bug", and something they didn't predict to happen. It seems people have informed Soken about the issues with AMD's FX series processors and the unsolved stuttering/popping. Yh he did say they couldn't reenact it in their environment and stated that everyone should report it with their system info. Do not forget to do that guys https://support.eu.square-enix.com/f...2&p=0&fo=90048I do get some hope from this. Update on Immerse Gamepack: If you installed ANY version of the Immerse Gamepack by Embody, please install their latest version released today here - I just installed it and seems to be working fine so far. No audio issues or directx 11 crashes with weird sounds. If you still get stuttering/crashes/audio issues and already tried changing the performance settings to "Background Services", please try changing it back to "Programs" and see how it goes with this new release build.
I'll reply again whenever I get another audio issue or directx crash.
If it doesn't work for you, reply to Embody's twitter here - they're not square enix, so they're not actively reading the forums, and I think they were responsible for these issues. Let them know how it goes.
If you never installed any audio pack, and still get audio issues/crashes, try installing the immerse gamepack. There's a free trial going on, and it "might" solve the problem for you.
Also don't forget to lower your sample rate to CD quality just because.

Not everyone has a smartphone or a personal cell phone that they can use willy-nilly and install junk apps on to take pictures of their ear. This whole audio thing really smacks of Blizzard's Diablo mobile announcement. "You've all got cell phones, right?!"

I agree 100%. It's annoying and Square should've made this feature themselves. Also the full version is kinda expensive. Hopefully they fix the game with no need for 3rd party apps.

Yeah, installing this Immerse crapware is NOT an acceptable fix. I'm not saying it's what landed us here in the first place but I'm sure as hell thinking it. I'm not installing the free trial even as a temporary measure, let alone paying for it.
That said, I'm relieved to see Soken acknowledge the problems personally (guy deserves to have his work be appreciated), but it'd still be nice to see Squeenix acknowledge it on Lodestone or something for those of us who don't have the patience to dig through 50-page forum threads and twitter.
