The Truth hurts. There you have it folks. Let us do what Square Enix says.I'm LITERALLY doing what they asked me to do. I waited 3 days for the whole 'que posts' to die down but they're still going strong so figured I'd throw my complaint in the mixture. No one can complain though, must be nice to see a post about something other than the que times/refunds.
i hope i am wrong but i don't think we'll be seeing any new hairstyles added the next few months or even a year , they have other big issues to spend money on like adding new servers.
At a incredibly successful company such as SE, I'd like to think they have different departments working on different things for the game. I also hope you're wrong, because it's daunting at the thought of waiting another 2 years just for another 6 hairstyles. Like a previous commenter said, maybe we'll get some in the upcoming patches and they'll gradually implement more.. Even though SE stated themselves that Hrothgar are getting some love in 6.1, they did not mention anything in regards to Viera which is quite concerning.
Square Enix have extorted money from Viera and Hrothgar's limitations, but from the outside looking in it seems barely any of that money is invested back into the limited races. How much money have they made from players
fantasia'ing to and from the limited races? We want more race-exclusive hair.
We want them improved, and we want it done within a reasonable time.
During a brainstorm, I had a thought. Why is it Square Enix during the beginning of XIV was cautious about Miqo'te and Au'ras tails clipping with capes, but now they don't care? Now, they allow the tails to just poke through the capes no issue. But the thought of Viera ears clipping through hats, in their opinion, would be the most scandalous thing so they cut out hats entirely? Why not just let the community decide for themselves what they'd prefer, let's have a look at the reaper hood for example... It looks amazing, it doesn't look bad.
This is the LAST post I will add on this thread, still hoping a mod may see it/forward it to the correct person.

Your Viera hairstyle is the last thing anyone really cares right now, unfortunately.I would like Square Enix to be more informative of what's happening with this situation. I need to know if I should stick out being a Viera for even longer, or am I going to splash the cash and pay for a name change as well as a fantasia? I don't want to tolerate another 2 years to get another 6 hairstyles - at first I was perfectly okay with it but honestly, now it is unbelievably tedious. I consider myself a patient individual but due to the lack of communication; my patience is wearing thin.
Such a minor issue when there are a lot people still unable to play regular.
Please try this again later.
Smart lobbyist will only trying to influence authority at the right moment; and right now is the awful timing to bring this issue up.
I think you're being a bit over the top honestly. They already had a lot of options. Just because they don't have all the options, doesn't mean there are none.I sent an email to SE but was informed that I need to redirect my complaint towards the forums in order for them to receive feedback. Not entirely sure how effective this will be or if anyone from SE will even see this (Doubt it), but okay I will try.
The issue I have is the lack of communication from SE in regards to Viera's hairstyles. There has been minimum communication on if the 6 hairstyles we received in Endwalker will be all, or if we should expect to see more in future. However, I still believe it is appalling that after over 2 years of waiting, we only received just 6 hairstyles. Why? Because I believe that instead, Male Viera were being worked on instead of SE fixing the pre-existing issues with female Viera. But what's done is done, I'm still bitter but I digress.
Out of the 6 hairstyles, only 1 hairstyle appeals to me and that is the Lightning one. Furthermore, I have yet to see ANY Viera in-game wear the other 5 hairstyles - it was such an abnormal selection and I would like to know why they chose these 6 out of all the popular modern aesthetics? Who actively selected these and why were they chosen above all the rest?
Modern Aesthetics: Both ways, Form and function and greater lengths would've been outstanding choices and I can guarantee we'd see a lot of Viera's change their hair to either of those three. But instead, we have the majority of the Viera still sticking to their race exclusive hair due to the new hair being... Well, lack of a description, not to everyone's taste.

And yes, making another new player model should absolutely take priority over hairstyle options for player models that, again have quite a few already.
It is my sincerest hope that people waiting for female Hrothgar get their player models first, if it comes down to giving any race regardless of gender or creating female Hrothgar.
This idea that you need over 9000 hairstyle options is ridiculous.
It's not about ear clipping. Their gigantic foreheads heads would clip through the hat models and require each and every model to be adjusted individually to fit. Should they be doing it with new headgear options? Yes. That's a different subject though.During a brainstorm, I had a thought. Cheeky, but I'll just redirect you to a previous screenshot in this thread. I was told to post on the forums because emailing SE directly isn't ideal for them, it's apparently more efficient to post on the forumsYour Viera hairstyle is the last thing anyone really cares right now, unfortunately.

Look, I understand you've probably been a viera only since the start of Endwalker. But give it over 2+ years with these limitations and only to receive 6 hairstyles no one even wears and THEN you can tell me I'm being over the top. Also, where did I allegedly say we need 9000 hairstyles? I'm confused where you managed to pull that out from so please, stop being overdramatic.

No, I am telling you you're being over the top right now. Justifiably. How long I've played Viera has nothing to do with anything, especially when I have 2 female Viera alts and personally also only like a couple of the available hairstyles. On this character, my main, I only like about two of them, and neither of them are perfectly aligned to my aesthetic. However, I'm not one to expect the game cater to me personally either.Cheeky, but I'll just redirect you to a previous screenshot in this thread. Also, if you don't understand hyperbole you should probably stop using it so much in your own posts considering it's use is so obvious when I said 9000. It's not different than you pretending Six is Zero. So please, stop being overdramatic.

I am 100% with you on that and I don't really understand people who seek each and every excuse for this issue to be postponed by the devs. Oh, you see, we got queues, vieras are fine, it's not even that bad, you're asking for too much, hrothgar have it worse etc. Like yes, we know, and what? Lmao. Like, literally one should not exclude the other. Yes, we absolutely should get more hair options and costumisation for hrothgar AS WELL as vieras. Stop making excuses for issues that have been in the game for 2 years now.
And to the OP - I don't like you as a person but I'm willing to die with you on this hill.
