It's actually quite possible they're completely unaware of it. Yoshida had no idea about Ungarmax for several months, despite the issue getting reported repeatedly in game. It took the issue blowing up on reddit for them to realize it was a thing. Fixed overnight.

Do you have any proof that someone being afk in their house contributes any more to this problem than someone being afk in a corner in Sharlayan? Genuinely asking. I'm not understanding the difference.

AFK bots are using macros so their characters moves in a weird pattern every 5-15 minutes, doing this in public could be extremely obvious thats' why people choose to lock themselves in to their houses/apartment and put "busy" status.

i was sure that i've read the congestionned server was not from the number of people in game but from the number of people trying to log into the lobby server at the same time (?) and that the servers population were not really at full potencial, if that the case, thoses guys not disconnecting while afk aren't helping thoses that want to connect ?


(as for housing, it is of course congestionned if you can't enter).
