It depends on the queue. In early mornings like 8am the queue times are often low enough to allow f2p player to join in. But later on the day that no longer is possible. I dont know the treshold at which the queue locks them out though.
I also wonder if this patch will already open up the new housing areas. Because due to the queues a lot of players would then be locked out from its auction as they cant log in. I hope they will delay this for them to keep it fair.

Thank you, OP, for posting this update! Been busy with work and missed it on the main pages
I’m personally hugely appreciative of SE with what they’ve shared and how they’re taking steps to assist folks and balance out the situation. Wonderful news all around!
I hadn't thought of that. Budget is all done that SE money comes on a set date... now, with 3 weeks in lieu it's going to be taken out a week earlier.

Or 3 weeks later with a 3 week buffer. It just depends on how you look at it. If you say a week earlier, you do ignore that you didnt pay for a month, so in theory you then are still considering a money buffer instead of a time based one. But i can understand that some people want to be strict about timing it (for whatever reason), and for them this definitely hinders.
Still... if they however will extend it with another 7 days because of congestion, i would prefer it to be 9 days though, since then it matches up with the 30 day pattern of subs. And maybe because of the hassle many had, this would be a nice way to give ahead of time anway.
Good to know its not the same version.
But the problem with versioning like that is that normaly 6.1 and 6.01 are the same as each number between/around a dot is an integer. A prefix 0 normaly is considered only for sorting reasons. In this case the version should normaly have been called 6.0.1 (if we go by the standards companies normaly follow). But its probably also that they are consistent at not having a dot there in the number, and that they never went over 9 subversions, which for their system works fine then. At least, as long as its clear, its fine enough.
Its also that it probably only confuses newer players, and only to those who have some programming knowledge.
Yeah, same for me. I do realize that for some people it's just not possible to play at all, but for me it's just been about planning it out a little. On my days off I've been able to log in early so I miss the queues. On my work days, I log in as soon as I get home and just let the queue roll while I do other things (make dinner, eat, shower, etc.) and have learned what the situations on my PC that seem to lead to me getting the 2002 more often so I can avoid them. It's not ideal but it's allowed me to play every single day since the expansion launch, whether it be a clear day off or a work day.
Do players who use game time cards get it as well or do they need to make a subscription?an active subscription
I'm guessing NA and Europe will get an additional Datacenter each.
I hope they are ready if they used log4j.It is propably this bug:

It is not a bug, it is a feature.
Cheers
