You can do this by switching dats out, I believe chocobo is 53 and goobue is 62

It seems to me that Choco are the main mounts since they are getting armor and are going to fight in 2.0, and Gobbue and other types of mounts are side mounts that add a little variety, so when you feel like riding something exotic you can ride something else.

I didnt even want the Gobbue mount, so no, no more mounts. How about they spend more time fixing this game and getting patches out on time, and less time making "gifts" for us that are about as exciting as that sweater you got from your grandmother last Xmas.I know its a bit late for this topic..
but after the goobbue mount being within the game since a month or so, im mostly using my chocobo again.
im asking myself does it destroy the typical FF feeling if everyone rides on an other mount - which are regular monsters? i mean is it like "catch them all" like in pokemon? first fight them, then ride them? O_o on a goobbue, on a dragon, on a flying eye (what i think reminds me a bit of pokemon if i imagine a picture of that situation)...
well i would just be happy with a chocobo.. i think a machine would be also ok, many ffs have been a bit steam punk like. but riding on a flying eye is a little ridiciulous, especially if you have people riding many different monsters side by side.
i loved the goobbue in ff11 because it seemed to me like a "special" monster. now its degraded to be a mount to ride on by hundreds of players. X.X :-( it just destroys the atmosphere of these monsters.
not?
I hope you don't seriously think that FFXIV's different teams that help put together the game can only work on one thing at a time, and that creating the Goobbue mount took any sort of serious effort on their part that impeded them from doing real work.
Depends, clearly you need to devote someone/people from the UI team as well as sound team as well as artists and programmer(s), therefore clearly some manhours has to be dedicated to it that could have went elsewhere when you really think about it.
i never understood why people do things for pure utility. "why are you gonna buy that truck? its really big and ugly!" "well incase i have to haul something" 8 years later "well glad i kept that truck, i ended up having to move that fridge"
more, within the realm of video game reasoning, is always better in an MMO
15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
I'm boycotting the goobuu. I have yet to get mine, nor will I ever(probably). I also see, very few riding the stupid thing as well. It's very un final fantasy to have lots of "mob" mounts. Or lots of mounts in general.
