Interesting that nobody's said this in this thread yet, so I'll vent my concerns (sorry for the scattered thoughts):

I am still dismayed how Fandaniel purported Anima to hold importance, power, and authority in the realm of Primals, only for it to become a literal stepping stone for the WoL, even after multiple scenes of words and allusions speaking for the height of Anima's relativity to their plot besides the towers- as if Anima itself was to be doing something. Telling me that Varis became Anima doesn't make for any weight. Keeping Anima hidden behind doors and curtains makes me believe it's something more than it is/was. Speaking blunt words about its magnificence makes me believe it must be an actual trial to overcome- something with which the WoL would struggle greatly against.

What of the Garlemald empire's cloning techniques that were touched upon when Emet-Selch made his appearance as Solus at the end of Stormblood (or was it the beginning of Shadowbringers?) I was so very certain that Varis had a comeback plan with this. It's as if it's been all forgotten and cast aside. The largest grievance I hold for the story thus far is it feels as if they're hurriedly showing their full hand. "Hey, remember this? Look! Look!" That said, it's ironic the cloning hasn't been brought up. Also, I very much adored Elpis in its entirety. Great story.
