    I'm tempted to return the whole product and buy again when it's on sale and dead. I'd ideally like to be compensated, the difference between the early-access/CE and the standard edition would be a good start. Two weeks of playtime would be nice, with the cost of retainer service et al frozen as well.

    You are at least level 82, I don't believe returning is an option at his point. Did you put in your game code yet?
    What would your next option be? Currently, 1-week of free time. And it hasn't been a week yet.

    Commendations.
    If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
    If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
    If I play healer I only give it out to tank.

    Only if they should be getting a commendation.
    There are always exceptions to the rules!

    Also they paid nothing extra for the early access period. All that was is a pre-order bonus. They paid for the CE edition which means the extras obtained when they entered the actual key for EW which was an account wide minion, mount, and scythe glam unless they ordered the limited quantity collector's edition that had all the physical extras with it.

    They're giving atm a 7 day extension on active subs because of basically queue times and server congestion.

    Long queue times are annoying yes.

    As you said. I'd recommend finding another less involved activity to do while it ticks down. The people frustrating themselves because they choose to start at the screen watching the number in the box are bringing that frustration on themselves and making that wait seem longer as it's basically the same as staring at the pot of water on the stove waiting for it to boil.

    I pretty much received what I wanted. We got a detailed explanation from Yoshi-P as to the causes of the problems and an explenation as to the steps that were to be taken to correct most of the problem. So far the fixes appear to be working. I can live with the long log-in times as long as I don't get arbitrarily dropped. Have plenty of movies and TV shows to binge while I wait. Anything else (7 days free time) is pure gravy.

    Can't login to the game in under 3 hours of wait
    Can't afk for 30 minutes to get food without getting booted and having to wait 4 more hours to get back on
    Can't buy limited edition statues with cool emotes because they instantly sell out and are scalped for 5x the price
    Can't fish in the same spot for too long "because of bots"
    Said fish can't have any useful value because bots would exploit that too
    Can't go to any starter city without getting spammed with RMT shouts and phishing whispers
    Can't have a stable way to farm gil that isn't patch nerfed soon after becoming popular
    Can't farm tomestones for more than a few hours before reaching weekly cap that makes it neigh impossible to usefully kit out more than one job in a game with nearly 20 jobs
    Can't buy a house because none are ever availible and even when they are they sell out instantly while you can't log into the server. The fix is "well you can if you win the lottery" LMFAO
    Can't have nicer mounts and glamors without spending additional money on the mogstation.


    This game thankfully has a lot of fun elements, but honestly there isn't anything they could do to compensate for all it's failings. We've all known for years they aren't going to adequately fix this stuff, but we still sub and play so there you go.

    Store credit. Plain an simple. 2 weeks delay and any problem for logging. 3$ of sub time isn't losing the many money. I love the game but the online features are quite behind the standard of the industry.

    Honestly not looking for compensation, I just want to be able to not have to sit in a 5000 person queue as soon as I get home unless I log in during the morning and avoid disconnecting for the entire day until I get back home from work

    I posted what I feel would calm me down already. I don't mind waiting two hours for queue. I mind being kicked at login and being unable to queue again for another four or five hours. It's been a colossal waste of my time, a lowering of expectations and really just a pretty bad time. The hype was huge, this game has been heavily marketed and they sold copies of it without a cap, knowing they couldn't handle the server loads. I have very little faith in square at this point, and even the whole mmo scene. Mistakes all around. My mistake was pre-ordering and expecting a product delivered on time. "It's only been a week" is still an entire week where I've wasted hours of my day only to be repeatedly booted out of the queues or kicked or been un able to join. It's not a matter of refunding just the value of my sub, but the value of the experience. Frankly, as much as this community likes to talk about how the company values the players I don't see it. Every experience with their customer service I have ever had has been an epic disappointment. It started with me being unable to even buy the game from the store in the first place. What kind of company gives you trouble at the purchasing counter? It's just.. rife with technical issues and the fanbase is loud, fanatical and crazy. This product is a hot mess.
