Can I speak to your thread moderator?
They do have precedent for adding emergency servers to meet demand - they did it at 2.0! It took them a week, but they ate the cost and put up more hardware.
They cannot do it this time. If they would, they could. Their supplier has nothing is stock, and high end data center servers cannot be purchased at Best Buy.
I kind of like this thread simply because it is good to remember it is ok to be angry, it is fine to express your displeasure, but we aren't owed anything.
Life isn't fair, and I'm certain there are people in SE that are just as upset, confused, and demanding action like we are.
However, such is life. The apology and the offering of free game time is a generous and reasonable approach to ask for forgiveness. Keep in mind, that amounts to millions of dollars returned to players. There's just a lot of players, lol.
Anyway, this sucks for everyone, I've definitely spent some time yelling at a computer screen, but all I ask is we remember, we're all human, even those at SE. I think.
The biggest thing people are failing to comprehend is that there is a lack of evidence to support any of your statements.
They did begin with explaining their desire to expand server size and capacity and implement auto-logout functions.
We're experiencing hardware failures. For example, 2002 is a loss of communication between user and server. 3001 is a complete lack of a server system, such as server queue system.
It's quite possible that there is so much strain on the components. Yes server stability itself is solid. But active servers are not the same as the queue systems.
Yoshi-P and his team are the most sincere and empathetic development team of any MMORPG community. Do consider that they are working tirelessly to figure this out before things like lawsuits arise. Because that can be a thing, when you offer early access for a premium price and not follow through, that is actually false advertising and failure to follow through on what they intend to provide.
In my mind, the best fix is a server shutdown. We need emergency maintenance, so that they can fully handle things without stress being loaded on the system.
I'm not defending them, and I am not defending the player base. I'm just laying the cards that I see out on the table.
Not matter what, they're losing player base. They will lose player base if they shut the servers down, but they are already losing. Just take your losses Square, take your time and fix your issues.

Yep, I think so too. At this time, it really would be for the best. I'm fine with not being able to access the servers for a maintenance. Even if it takes one or two whole days. Everything is better than the frustrating situation we are in right now.
Me too, Erenville, me too
Takes me over 10 minutes and over 20 tries to just get past the start up menu to get inline to queue.
No it won't. Early Access is just an EARLY ACCESS INTO ENDWALKER CONTENT. The same amount of people, no matter their current state of MSQ whether it's in Endwalker or just starting Stomrblood, are trying to log in concurrently. The release of Endwalker just means that you can't get the leveling earring or minion after Dec. 7th if you buy the license for it. The amount of people in the login queues will be the exact same until people beat the msq and then don't touch it for two years until the next, as some do, or until Savage progs are done, which also happens. The only thing that'll happen on the 7th is an uptick in people in EW areas if they're that far into the story and they didn't have the access that people who preordered did until then.
