they literally came out with an article just before Early Access launch mentioning all the things that could go wrong, all the things that will most likely go wrong, what all the errors mean, and that they will do their best to monitor the situation as things come up...

to expect that this was going to launch with absolutely no server related issues or anything what-so-ever is just silly... especially when every MMO expansion/standard launch has gone the exact same way. it's really not that far out of the norm nor is it really that big of a deal...

edit: especially after all the attention the game has been getting. it's population is at an all time high, and SE already said that they have been doing their best to prepare but given semicondutor shortage things haven't been easy. They also had to delay the Oceanic Data Center for the same reason I believe

Do people not realise that by playing during early access, you signed yourself up as guinea pigs so the dev team can see what kinks they need to work on before official date?

To move on past the lawsuit discussion, because this honestly isn't the place to be having it: yeah, the situation on Aether feels exceptional at the moment, because it's not the Error 2002 or any of the other error codes that Yoshida-san mentioned when addressing the common issues. If Error 3001 means "the entire datacenter is at capacity and there isn't even room for folks to queue" then I don't think the error message communicates that clearly enough. But if there's a problem specific to Gilgamesh or distinct about Aether's situation, that might warrant some attention from the support teams monitoring the situation.

It's not just Gilga(Aether) I got it recently on Balmung(Crystal), which is the first I'm seeing of it. So clearly *something* else is going screwy, or...more screwy.

At the same time, I got reports from people in the same Q as me that they went from 2k people in line ahead of them, to them suddenly getting into the game.

Just adding in that I also have the 3001 error. Hopefully it gets addressed soon.

Why does everyone keep saying “I paid for early access” Did you? Did you pay one cent more than people are Tuesday? My guess is no you didn’t as neither did I early access was a marketing tool to get people to pay early. Stop with this I paid extra stuff we are all suffering the same as anyone else. Tuesday will not get better they cannot upgrade servers. This has nothing to do with early access.

I have multiple accounts, all of them can get into the Gilga login queue which is around 4,000 people right now. Except...my main account which gets 3001 error and can't get into the login queue line.

also having login issues with 3001. I can make a new character on a different server and it queues in fine, just having issues with my character whose home server is on Gilgamesh

Well that's just...weird. I'll be curious to see if the team addresses this new problem and what the explanation will be, as this is a new one to me.
