Honest I think they have done a good job thus far on early access launch. The server's haven't crashed (least not the one my group plays on?) and I haven't heard of a quest requiring you to stand in a line to que for it. Sure it could be better but supply shortages and they did speak up about wanting more servers but they don't want to rent servers. Understandable. /shrug

This is by far not the worse EA launch. Sure it'll take some time to taper down the numbers for ques but nothing is on fire.

Yeah that title still goes to Stormblood. Endwalker is still in sorta early stages. If we can't do duty instances or dungeons. Then we need to start worrying again.

That's all? the people who opt not to play because they don't have the time to wait 3 hours to log in will balance it out. Renting servers? "Don't wanna."
This is news to me but I'll be frank, effort put into this game is astounding. I really do love it as art; but money? I don't feel they don't put in as much as they should. They don't even capitalize on their microtransactions the way they probably could either. I'm not talking about cheesy stuff like buying Ultimate items or lvl 90 skips, just NPC outfits and NPC weapons that don't exist for some reason.
I'd like to see a source, regardless. For the comment, I mean.
I'm well aware of the fact that there was a semiconductor shortage, so it's a bit harder for me to get a printer or a microwave, but I'm also not a company that makes millions of dollars. I don't really feel like its possible for any of us to verifiably know whether or not there was something that could be done differently (because we don't work for SE), but if there was a suggestion and they said "we don't want to" then I think that's kind of sucky, no?
Especially considering if a total amateur could have predicted this sort of thing would happen, based on previous launches. WoW was kind of falling apart months and months ago. We all knew this would be the case. It was even starting materialize before the expansion dropped. If truly, nothing could be done; then whatever. But to say that they had an option that probably would have worked and it was just "dont wanna" or "it'd cost money." That's... really sad, and not really a great excuse.
I don't think its the people who made the game who are at fault here, in any case.
