A beast-like appearance doesn't necessarily mean they are ugly. Hrothgar look like beasts, but they don't come off as ugly to me. Just animalistic. That's what the people in this thread are asking for from what I'm reading. They simply want something more animalistic, not ugly.

"Snowflake", bringing up twitter, yada yada yada. I've occasionally wondered what kind of angle you were coming at all this with, but now I finally know. What, do you think the people here in this thread only want a more animalistic appearance because of muh feminism and to get back at the patriarchy or something? Because that's totally what it sounds like when people keep bringing up twitter and whine about it. Really no better than the twitter warriors if I'm being honest. I mean really, does it not cross your mind at all that some people just want a more beast-like appearance for females because it's what they genuinely like?

What is and isn't ugly on a personal level is always subjective.
Many people think Hrothgar males ARE ugly, for example, and I can recognize that those people are out there even if I don't agree. By all accounts, Hrothgar are just humans with animal heads and with that comes a degree of human beauty standards ... a hunched back is universally seen as "ugly" on humanoids. It makes sense for Charr to be hunched over, they are cat MONSTERS that can run on all 4s, which is why I pointed that out ...

"snowflaking" is a thing. There are in fact people who do like to play very unpopular, niche things that are seen as ugly by most so that they can stand out in a crowd and feel unique. They get enjoyment outta that, I'm not persecuting them or anything.
And I bring up tweeter cause that's where the "Orc/ Troll/ Demon vs Super model" meme came from that everyone uses to bemoan sexual dimorphism. *Shrug

Once again, you're building up a strawman so you present yourself as an individual with a superior mindset.
Where did I say you can't like Charr "genuinely"?
Some people like things the masses think are ugly because they think it's cool, most people who play GW2 aint playing FEMALE Charr though as they're the least played thing in the game. So generally, people prob don't like them even though Charr males are like the 2nd most popular males in the game.

I also can understand the meme to some extent - not because everything has to be about equality... It's more like there are some people who are frustrated that the male characters get "the cool thing", and the females don't get that even though it's something they genuinely wanted. Why create a beast-like race if the females aren't going to be beast-like? And that doesn't mean they have to be exactly as big and buff as the males or ugly. But if they don't have a somewhat big physique or have a face that's too humanoid, then what's the point?

As for the hunch, I don't care either way. Make it an option in cpose or don't.

I genuinely think that the easier it is for a female character to be potentially sexualized or viewed as a partner the more playable it is to a decent chunk of people. Dudes are typically allowed to be ugly while females are naturally expected to be traditionally beautiful . I play what looks genuinely awesome or interesting - not what looks like a viable partner; so my perspective is bound to be different.

If I had to pick between playing a wicked dragon or a petite fairy I’d pick the dragon.

I'm the type of person who wants to play a good looking male AND female character. It's not like it's mutually exclusive. Something can look good, or "sexy", and still look cool. A hunched back, for example, doesn't look good or cool in this instance, even thematically! Hrothgar are a proud people, especially females.. they should be standing tall!

I disagree. Quadrupeds and bipedal designs with unique postures and builds can still look amazing. Female Charr, for example, look positively wicked. But I personally have a lot of respect for creative creature design; especially when it’s outside the norm.

Honestly, I don't know too much about races and sexual dimorphism in other video games. From what I understand, generally the females are naturally shorter and smaller. WoW doesn't do too bad of a job for some of their races like the tauren from what I see, but at a glance, I do notice males tend to have more variety in terms of body types.

Mmm, third option: Wicked fey dragon. Not the little fairy guys, but like some terrifying amalgam of nature and cosmic power.

But seriously, I'm in the same boat. I use my characters to express myself, not to satisfy my own aesthetic attraction. And since that "queen" concept art basically looks like a bald version of my current character, it wouldn't really offer anything interesting for me, since I don't see the value in a world populated entirely with my own clones...
