    Absolutely shocking state of SE customer support

    I have been in communication with SE for over 2 months now at this point, involving a simple item restoration request. Every time they say that ticket resolution is imminent and to stay online and wait for GM to reach out, but I have almost had my character logged in for almost the entire day for weeks at a time now time (using HUD arrangement menu and walking around in between work) and nothing has happened.

    Is the support desk system supposed to be this appalling? Is there a Twitter account I can reach out to maybe get some actual human feedback?

    I'd try their phone support or maybe email if what you are doing isn't working. You'll be waiting awhile on the phone but they are usually helpful when you finally get through. If you email them you can just go about your day and check in when you can for a response.

    Warning OP, if no one is there to receive your call, say because no one is there that day, you'll be automatically put on hold and no one will be coming for you.
    Happened to me before and oof it was rough.
    That being said, phones are def worth a shot.

    I think EU phones still aren't in service, only email still.

    Also, at this point, what item was it? You only get 1 restore so it may not even be worth it...

    Gotcha. I don't know the status of other regions, but I sort of assumed it wasn't much better elsewhere. And yeah, I'm curious as well as to what the item is.

    I feel this. I used the trial synth for an expensive item (wanted to be very sure I wasn't going to find out I just failed a 9mil gil craft) and it just deleted the materials from my inventory.

    Four months of back and forth tickets about it before they told me, in a roundabout way, "Thank you for reporting this bug! Unfortunately we cannot validate that this event actually happened so we will not be restoring the materials." At least I got to pick the items back up for only 2mil after that.

    Good luck, but if it's not a mogstation item that somehow got deleted, or your single item restoration, then I have very little faith in SE helping you out.

    It's a single item restoration for an ultimate weapon that accidently got traded for grand company seals. At this point I am losing all faith -- it is easy to verify I had the weapon since it is currently glamored to my current weapon. However an "investigation" that takes months to do is beyond ridiculous. At this point might just do the ultimate again in PF would be less of a headache.

    Not a bad plan.
    An Ultimate weapon is something you can always get back. If you re-clear the fight you can keep your one and only item restore in your back pocket for layer.

    I'm sorry this has happened though. Major bummer.

    EU or UK where I believe support is located is having new outbreaks of Covid so I don't expect phone support being resumed any time soon.
    It sucks but pandemic don't care.
