    It is not unreasonable to want a Bard that has more visual musical effects as opposed to arrow magic. Thematic confusion like this turns people off from touching the class. It might feel so fun to play, but if it looks boring, then it's pretty difficult to convince someone to go for it as opposed to something like Dancer which feels fun and looks amazing.

    At least at level 90 they finally get some kind of visual song aura. That they should have gotten in ARR if not Heavensward at the earliest.

    personally i wish they'd remove the bard part as a ranger main in ff 11 i rather have a pure archer and no mechanist is not the same
