Ast + most damaging healer (or 2nd if ast is top DPS). Ast free healing is just too powerful to ever give up especially since they can solo heal everything.

I think AST/SGE or AST/SCH, I'm more inclined towards AST/SGE because Sch having to drop 100 potency for every non recitation Aetherflow heal may hurt it in the long run while Sge can basically use all of its heals for free, in the end it all depends on how chain stratagem scales, if it does really well Ast/Sch may be the meta but if I'm honest even if that's the situation I hope not many players raid with Sch so SE can finally see they need to add changes to the class
Whm is pretty much dead tho
It’s just the problem that they try to have white mage be the new player friendly healer. If they would do some minor tweaks on the abilities whm has now it would actually be pretty decent. Give assize 2 charges so you aren’t force to press it on cd. Make lilybell 2 minutes, make it that bension can crit and make lily spells ogcd. These changes would make the job so much stronger that it is now. Also change thin air from 1 spell to 10 seconds with 2 charges, giving you options were you use it in fights and not like a maniac on cd or you run out of mana.
Hey Vicotria, his why scholar/ast needs have tool kit nerfed hard.
Why nerf 2 Jobs instand of buffing one Job? WHM have there Fanbase (I dont mean Mortex xP He's a WHM traitor who will play sage C: )
I belive a lot of Player use the white magic anyways. And the contant is not so hard to say WHM is not allowed to use. If you make speedkills not but that is not the Point here! Funfact 85% of the toolkit from Sage is the toolkit from the SCH. xD
The Point is like "NERF EVERY HEALER TO MAKE WHITEMAGE GREAT AGAIN!!!"
The question is what is the EW Meta in your Opinion? And not what Healer Jobs should be destroy to comes your wishes meta comes true!
So the Doomspeaking here should stop till the end of the Dragonwarsong or the first Pada. Raid.
I'm of the mindset that raid buffs are always the way to go for the min-maxing meta, so AST/SCH in theory. SCH's buff being less important in early crit stats, SGE might shine there (also because the Media Tour build makes it quite strong).
WHM is seemingly fine but I don't think its Glare potency can make the difference, rDPS wise.
And in terms of healing kits, it's difficult to predict without knowing much about the amount of actual healing needed. But I do feel what we know of WHM's Lilybell is a bit underwhelming / very niche compared to AST's rain of stars thing, or SGE stacks of shields spell.
The big unknown is if we are to see encounter design changes that would make a difference in how we rank healers. Because currently it is all about oGCD heals and DPS. But if we are to GCD heal more, perhaps things could change.
I’m a whm traitor since end stormblood…… the job just gets punched in the nuts every expansion. We both know people either play whm because it’s shiny and so “beautiful”, they are masochistic or some people are die hard whm player. I mean of course you still gonna clear every content with every job but why is white mage the only healer getting handicapped by his stigma as new player friendly healer.Hey Vicotria,

It's going to be AST/SGE, pretty clear. Unless some major changes are made to WHM/SCH in the 6.1 patch.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
WHM nerfed - may have less healers because people can't spam Cure II anymore without facing repercussions so a brain is required, but overall WHM players will be better as a result.
AST - MP is still really strong, so people will probably pick this even if they can't use the delayed skills well, because they can just spam Benefic II.
New Meta is AST/SCH or AST/SGE.
SCH if encounter design changes to be movement heavy for safety and for chain strategem. SGE for something a bit more than just Broil Spam and for high-mobility team compositions.
AST is the only thing that seems set in stone atm with how powerful it's toolkit is, which shield healer ends up being the top pick is going to depend on the player steering it and what the static wants as a whole.
In the end, every change, every design choice, is up to the devs. If they decided to go one way with an element of gameplay or a job, acting like they kicked your dog on the forums isn't going to change anything. At some point, you have to cut your losses or you're just wasting energy being so emotionnaly invested into something that won't change.
