Given that EW is 30 days away. Can we really expect any real changes outside of potency and cooldown times to be changed between now and the launch date?
Mr Happy interview already provided proof that our concerns here do not reach the development team. I did watch Xeno's video however the concerns he brought up I highly doubt or bet nothing will change until 6.1 for DRK.
I was very disappointed with the DRK job actions reveal. What do the tanks get for their level 90 skills? Gunbreaker gets a two cartridge AoE. Warriors get the spin dash. Paladins get Confiteor IV. Dark Knights? They get a buffed Flood of Shadow. What? Why? Seeing the treatment that DRK gets compared to the other tanks is just very sad and I throw myself fully behind support for a DRK rework.
Honestly if that's all they did before EW's launch that's still miles more than what i'd expect.I saw Xeno video too and despite im not always agree with him either i wont deny i enjoyed how much he ranted about DRK. Despite all of this comunity support and such awesome call for a change on the job in basically his entire kit and gameplay flow im gonna play the devil avocate and bet that SE will only ajust Blood weapon to the stack system and call it a day, i know im pessimist but i don't think they are going to do the rework the job desperately needs.
A full on rework of the job would take time, and if it were to happen (I hope) we would only hear that they're considerin it and will wait to see how it performs in raids. If the numbers of DRK clears aren't high enough for them, then we might see either a NIN style mid-expac rework, or have to wait *again* for 7.0.
At most, yeah...
Though the mid-expac NIN rework didn't actually do too much and 8m not sure how much that would be able to satisfy. It didn't get any new skills or change the identity in any way, and it sounds like those are the kinds of fixes people here are asking for.
The answer is no. This goes for potencies too. If any changes happen it will be potency adjustments in 6.1 and that's it. To say otherwise is to be in denial. Dark Knight as a whole will be underwhelming while everyone else can do what Dark Knight does but better.
All aesthetic and design decisions aside, have you even seen the opener?

Your very first 9 GCDs are filled with oGCDs, there is no space to weave even 1 mitigation CD!... well, maybe 1 if you can use Delirium pre-pull, but that's it. If you thought GNB was loaded, that's a joke compared to this opener!
Salted Earth and Abyssal Drain - especially Abyssal Drain - deal too little fluff damage (on single target) to justify them taking that many slots. There has to be done something about it... and/or change how the new actions work.
Of course, I would prefer a full rework, DRK is a mess. And yes, even if DRK was always somewhat of a mess, this expansion is taking it way too far!
yeah turning Blood weapon to a stack system is actually a pretty easy change and cheap to do considering they have several skills doing the same so i bet it would be quick, for the rework i don't expect it before launch at all, with luck at 6.1 buuuut considering the threatment DRK has recive i totally expect them leave the job like that until 7.0 and pray they don't decide to add more meme traits and generic oGCD.Honestly if that's all they did before EW's launch that's still miles more than what i'd expect.
