Can we get an immersive mode without teleport?

Can we get an immersive mode that can be toggled on, or off, in the setting, that disables teleport unless you are at an aetherite?

I actually love having to journey from place to place, and it would be cool to have a mode where teleport is not an option. Seems like it may be easy to implement.

Why? Just don't do it. People have been doing "restricted" runs in games where they impose their own rules on themselves for years.
