Bot train purchasing multiple houses a day

Regular Joes buy them and resell them outside the game. Smalls from 80 mil to 200mil gil resell value. They are in it for the gil only, not the plot. It's not all rmt but players wanting to earn that much gil in resell value. SE needs to stop the reselling of housing by a player and the price gouging along with it. We'll have to see what effects the lottery will have on the resell market of housing when EW is out.

The issue is that one of those players had houses on 8 alts and one of them hadn't been sold for a year so they are very patient... Nowadays SE has a limit to the amount of houses you can own on the game but the fix would have been far more easy if SE allowed you to share your houses with all your alts on the same accounts. That way a person wouldn't have need for more then 1 house for private use. The issue of that is that there's a workaround where you can invite a friend who then invites your alts one by one. Once thats done you can have someone aquire the house for you using a bot/script and then just make you owner of the fake FC they tied it to. That way you can still get 8 FC houses per account.

I heard someone say "limit FC house to 1 per account" but I do not agree with this since I have 2 FC's on Cerberus, one above 100 and another above 200 active members. I can't just "discriminate" one of my FC's and not get them a house.
So the only alternative here would be allowing my FC's to share the same house... or make rules where one can have more houses for as long as they have a certain amount of active players (where you enter a private house to reset the timer, you could make it so that you'd need 20 different characters logging in at least once a month so you wouldn't lose the FC house).

You don't need to be leader of 2 FC's even though you certainly appear to be a legitimate leader and not part of a shill FC abusing the system. The issue is that leadership is being abused and people are buying multiples FC houses on the same account when the intent was pretty clear 1 FC and 1 private per server. I'm willing to bet we'll see some major changes to how FC's are led and established but i could be wrong. We should find out well before 6.1 to give people time to adjust to the new rules.

While they've got their little traps scattered around the game world for the usual RMT farming bots, I don't know if they have any detection for those involved in housing. Reporting their specific activity could be helpful to the STF.

Except you couldn't have 4 characters on the same account all online at the same time so we know there are multiple accounts involved in the OP's example.

SE has said they're working on updates to FCs but it's doubtful that those changes are going to impact shell FCs in housing since they'd be just as likely to harm small but legitimate FCs as the shells.

My comments were more directed at his being a leader in more than one FC. I'm assuming he is the leader of one of those FC's with an alt given you can't really belong to 2 FC's and I suspect he is doing a great job of leading both of them however multiple leadership is being abused as you are well aware. I wasn't really addressing the other portions of his comments directly.

If people are paying multiple subs to play this game well more power to them. As far as I'm concerned they're entitled to whatever that sub entitles them to. I'm referring to the use of alts on the same service account to own multiple and lead multiple FC's on the same server. The intent was one FC and one private per server and that is certainly not happening with FC's.

I'm interested in seeing what the new rules are going to be and how they address the abuse and how they are going to go about actually enforcing the rules. The games population has exploded well beyond what they were anticipating and I would think we will see some big changes once they announce the plans for 6.1 and Ishgard.
