Bot train purchasing multiple houses a day

I recently got a friend into the game and they have been trying to buy a house for over a month now. I knew there were bots but I a little shocked with how efficient they have become. On Faerie there is this group of lalafells and they have a method where they have been buying multiple houses a day. Just today they bought 3 in fact.

A group of about 4, all in the same fc and low level in starter gear, stand in front of the board and stagger their clicks so there is no delay in click time. You can watch their heads move in succession, one after the other.

They sit around until the house is bought, then one of them stays to put an aetheryte and house down while the others head off to the next available plot. It looks like they drop out of the fc and join another one already at the rank needed to buy the next house. Rinse and repeat.

I'm sure it's been around a while but with such robotic efficiency how can any one person hope to overcome the odds? They don't always win but if you can buy three houses in a day I would think that's pretty clear you've stacked the odds way in your favor. I'm pretty sure they resell the house for RMT. They sure are on top of it likes it's their day job.

There are probably a bunch of posts about this but I wanted to add my experience as well.

I’m not surprised and SE doesn’t fight them enough imo.
Plus the fact they don’t find radical solutions/be more strict with shell FCs which is the main way for them to own multiple plots with a few characters and eventually resell them gil or IRL money.

You end up with one player owning from a few houses to a whole ward. There is some massive abuse here but SE has been complacent in this, so that’s why bots and all that follow are shamelessly used.

Airships/Subs are limited in terms of profit you can make now even with one method - it's still 2 days waiting on a return and the gil is not as much as a bot can make just farming dungeons all day. They are most likely buying houses for FCs to sell the FCs onto other players.

Correct, I used to know someone that did this. Thats how I got my first ever Fc house which I lateron lost due to drama xD
And this was 3 years ago so as you can see... this is a problem SE might not care to fix... hence why I once assumed gil sellers and SE had some sort of "agreement" or were maybe working together.
Nevertheless a company should "care" about its consumer so its only logical SE fixes the housing problem fast and not just apply another bandage on it.
If they CAN'T Fix it... they should make a sequel of the game that uses another engine that deals with whatever obstacle may be in the way since that may be another reason why the problem was never fixed (issue with the code that can't be altered).

You may be correct. Susan"B"Express and WoW were real up close and personal for years. They always hung around selling.

Regular Joes buy them and resell them outside the game. Smalls from 80 mil to 200mil gil resell value. They are in it for the gil only, not the plot. It's not all rmt but players wanting to earn that much gil in resell value. SE needs to stop the reselling of housing by a player and the price gouging along with it. We'll have to see what effects the lottery will have on the resell market of housing when EW is out.

The issue is that one of those players had houses on 8 alts and one of them hadn't been sold for a year so they are very patient... Nowadays SE has a limit to the amount of houses you can own on the game but the fix would have been far more easy if SE allowed you to share your houses with all your alts on the same accounts. That way a person wouldn't have need for more then 1 house for private use. The issue of that is that there's a workaround where you can invite a friend who then invites your alts one by one. Once thats done you can have someone aquire the house for you using a bot/script and then just make you owner of the fake FC they tied it to. That way you can still get 8 FC houses per account.

I heard someone say "limit FC house to 1 per account" but I do not agree with this since I have 2 FC's on Cerberus, one above 100 and another above 200 active members. I can't just "discriminate" one of my FC's and not get them a house.
So the only alternative here would be allowing my FC's to share the same house... or make rules where one can have more houses for as long as they have a certain amount of active players (where you enter a private house to reset the timer, you could make it so that you'd need 20 different characters logging in at least once a month so you wouldn't lose the FC house).

You don't need to be leader of 2 FC's even though you certainly appear to be a legitimate leader and not part of a shill FC abusing the system. The issue is that leadership is being abused and people are buying multiples FC houses on the same account when the intent was pretty clear 1 FC and 1 private per server. I'm willing to bet we'll see some major changes to how FC's are led and established but i could be wrong. We should find out well before 6.1 to give people time to adjust to the new rules.

While they've got their little traps scattered around the game world for the usual RMT farming bots, I don't know if they have any detection for those involved in housing. Reporting their specific activity could be helpful to the STF.

Except you couldn't have 4 characters on the same account all online at the same time so we know there are multiple accounts involved in the OP's example.

SE has said they're working on updates to FCs but it's doubtful that those changes are going to impact shell FCs in housing since they'd be just as likely to harm small but legitimate FCs as the shells.
