I'm one of those who believe that FFXIV should be a game of its own and not a copy, not even be similar, to another game.

I have some bad news for you. FF14 is very similar to WoW Cataclysm/MoP. It is almost a carbon copy of it. Yes, later Square Enix improved a lot but it has still many characteristics which are an one-to-one-copy from WoW.

That is a reason why i do not understand why a loud crowd of FF14 players hate WoW so much. They literally play it respectively a earlier version of it where meny things already went downhill.

Sorry but that's not bad news to me. FFXIV is indeed very similar to WoW since the director himself said it was the inspiration and it was based on it. It's a known fact and it's not news anymore. I don't hate WoW. You assumed very much incorrectly, I didn't say any such thing.

What I said in my comment is the games have to be separate and people who wanted to play this game exactly as another game was should just play that other game so you can at least continue supporting the said game. Big difference.

For me also, things in FFXIV went uphill after the game started, which is in line to the wish I mentioned from my reply that the game be of its own.

I played 2.0 on launch, it was hardly any different except for job rotations. WoW classic is literally a totally different game than modern, it has different quests, different mobs in dungeons, etc.

I just tend to enjoy MMO worlds before they get stretched over multiple, mostly unrelated regions. Outside of alt-leveling and some gathering, the addition of Heavensward meant the irrelevance of the initial three city-states, just as the addition of Outland meant the irrelevance of Azeroth, and Northrend then the irrelevance of either, etc., etc.

Apart from a few jobs, Heavensward typically had my favorite kits/combat, so I'd love to steal that, but if I were to go back to any particular era, it'd be the one in which the world felt a bit more cohesive and whole.

...That's not to say I wouldn't love to see the city-states and their frontiers fleshed out far more. I'm certainly no purist.

Why should I? I didnt even say you could 1-shot Omega and do it Solo. I said you could Solo Bosses and Content with a Spell in the game. I gave no specifics, so you ran off into your own nonsense once again. And you get most of the spells solo.....or did you have to get all your spells in groups?
Not that there is anything wrong with that..but y'know you can get alot of Spells on your own.

The funny thing is for the past few months, and in fact even earlier I think for the past 6 months ish, people have been talking about FFXIV on their forums. But their forum is moderated so whenever it gets out of hand threads start to get closed or moved I think
