Honestly....not really any at all. Id rather they do something unique and i prefer 14's unique music over their remastered versions.Eden barely had any ff8 songs and theyve never really used past ff music for msq afaik so...dont expect it.

Ff9: you are not alone
Would make sense.

Not quite, Eden had a fair bit of FFVIII music (Blue Fields, Don't Be Afraid, Force Your Way, Ami, The Legendary Beast and The Extreme), and even the main scenario has used a few tracks from previous FF games (Battle I from FFII, Legend of the Eternal Wind from FFIII, Matoya's Cave from FFI (okay, that's a zone theme, but it's part of the main scenario), Dancing Doll Calcabrina (FFIV), Cyan's Theme from FFVI, and, as I recall, Iroha from FFXI ~ Rhapsodies of Vana'diel), so that statement doesn't hold much weight.
And as much as I do love new music, I do like the use of older familiar themes from past FF titles as well, so it's all about balance.

Golbez, Clad in Dark would be nice, even if it was hackneyed and tied into side trials or something. That psuedo-organ is magnificent, and the theme itself just oozes oppressive villainy and anguish. Tellah's anger burning his heart out of his body when he cast Meteo in his need for vengeance for his daughter. Golbez using that nerve agent to immobilize the party, whereupon he sets a Shadow Dragon on them to slowly devour their life energy.
Of course, they could just call it, "Clad in Dark." Since there should only be a Golbez analogue and not an actual Golbez.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore

FFX - Otherworld but with Soken on vocals.
But since Anima is a primal fight in EW, maybe Seymour's Battle theme.
I meant boss themes from pass ff games in the msq, which the only example if i’m not mistaken is calca. I was also talking purely boss and battle themes from ff8. Where the raid tier was just let’s rehash the primals for the 10th time and give them yet another remixNot quite, Eden had a fair bit of FFVIII music (Blue Fields, Don't Be Afraid, Force Your Way, Ami, The Legendary Beast and The Extreme), and even the main scenario has used a few tracks from previous FF games (Battle I from FFII, Legend of the Eternal Wind from FFIII, Matoya's Cave from FFI (okay, that's a zone theme, but it's part of the main scenario), Dancing Doll Calcabrina (FFIV), Cyan's Theme from FFVI, and, as I recall, Iroha from FFXI ~ Rhapsodies of Vana'diel), so that statement doesn't hold much weight.

I’d rather they come up with something unique since this is the final arc of the FINAL FANTASY FOURTEEN game. According to yoshi p,he’s wanting to use less references from past final fantasy games anyhow, as when asked why there weren’t many ff8 bosses in eden his response was “this is ff14 not ff8” so…
