Mentor abuse DC on purpose

When someone else does this, they only represent themselves.
When a mentor does it, they throw a shade on all mentors.

The problem is that they wore their Burger King crown.

They do not. If you feel like they do then you should feel when a sprouts throw around death threats theu repsent all sprouts, when returners go on harassment sprees they repsent all returners. But you dont because some how, some way all mentors are suppose to be robots who don't play the game for fun but to teach those who don't want to learn and when some random player does bad you blame all mentors because all the randoms aren't robots either. Because if something happens you don't like its always mentors faults.

Unfortunately it can get to a point where people genuinely start pre-judging others simply for wearing the mentor crown.

You cannot choose to become a sprout/flower, but putting the crown on your head is deliberate.
The behaviour of one mentor definitely reflects back on all mentors.

I don't know why anyone would even want to be a mentor. That whole system needs to be shut down, or the reward(s) removed. Even the Novice Network is mostly useless as well, I'd say. No need to actually be a mentor if someone actually wants to help players anyway, and I'll keep posting about it ad nauseum. I can't imagine hiding a crown either, I think people would be better off not having it to hide in the first place.

As much as I agree that such behavior should not be allowed, the fact that you said ”Mentor shouldn’t do this” really reeks the ‘Mentor bashing’-vibe thread.

Yes it’s an ineffective system, but they’re also players. What about those sprout/returner/regular players that did the same? Should be turn to blind eyes because they don’t have the Burger King Crown?

Yes it's ineffective, and Yes they're also Players, BUT they are mentor and when mentor take the crown you have to accept to be a representative of the game (It's not me who says that, it's literraly in the game when you accept that title). Therefore, Mentor should be an exemple for all player and must teach players how to deal with certain mecanics of the game and avoid being Toxic.

What about those sprout/returner/regular players that did the same?

Of course, I mentionned Mentor at the beginning of this thread because they are "old" player of the game. Getting 1500 Command isn't something you can do in two minutes. The ToS Apply to everyone, but I think that a "Mentor" (because you literraly represent the community of the game at a certain point) shouldn't be able to avoid punishment this easily.
