the sprouts are usually the ones that don't fuck WoD up from my experience, it's usually the vets or mentors that either straight up afk or press a button once a minute while they wait at the gate to continue

Seems to be the case, think people treating WoD as Syrcus Tower is what damages a lot on these.
Either i get people immediately leaving or just playing without caring.
It is annoying because there are always new players there and I wish them the best lol
If its a forum poster with over 1k posts...expect them to REALLY care. Could they be busy playing the game? Sure, but twitter fingers syndrome sets in, and they have to have the last word, vent, or expresses themselves ad nauseum. Its nothing new, from WoW to FF, if you're on a general discussion thread, expect the "mature" response to not really be mature at all, and several goal post changing. Que sera
Calling someone childish and toxic...yeah nothing ironic or immature there. Ultimately I addressed all the points that matter, blah blah, yes, if you run into me, okay enabler, you've said your peace, now go outside, get a donut, go play the game.
it's an endgame dungeon, the tank should be wall to walling and using sprint on cooldown and never let the DPS get into a position to pull for them, you answered it yourself
at endgame, the majority of tanks also do not give the slightest heck if you pull for them unless they have an ego or "tankxiety" either
lmao, no words
You clearly lack reading comprehension, or you're cherry picking a post and switching the narrative, sorry dude, not falling for the banana in the tail pipe. Said DPS was told not to pull, pulled anyway, got team wiped. If you're defending this, you're the problem with the game, stop enabling. Do better, teach. Holy trinity works, and is always the go-to for raids with FC's....prove me wrong instead of quoting just to look for my attention.
You should have seen my first (and only..) run of WoD. First boss I kept dying because I really didn’t understand the fight. The guide I had looked up beforehand did a rather crappy job of explaining it lol. Rest went fine but gods, that first boss… I still feel embarrassed and guilty towards the poor group and fellow healer who got stuck with me! Sorry again group!
The "you pull it, you tank it" motto was a thing in WoW classic, because the player who pulled a mob is granted an enmity bonus which makes it incredibly difficult for the tank to take back aggro no matter what they did. Especially considering how hard aggro was to keep normally, which is why groups would let their tank build threat before attacking. In a group of 6 the average tank might get aggro back on 2, possibly. Hence "you pull it, you're tanking it".
In modern WoW and FFXIV there's actually no reason anymore for the motto. People may hold on to it out of preference, but considering there's no longer any reason for it then it's no longer a hard and fast rule. Some players like or don't mind having the DPS pull for them because it just ends up being quicker overall. Some people do mind. Personally when I'm tanking it doesn't bother me, I don't mind if the DPS grabs more mobs, I don't mind if a healer rescues me down the hallway because I'm slow. But when I played WoW classic the hunter pulling next to me drove me crazy and almost to tears because I COULD NOT get aggro back no matter what I did. I almost said some very horrible things to them...
But yes, DPS shouldn't distress their tanks though by doing what the RDM did. That's going too far.

Duty Finder for Aurum Vale is never disappointing. lol
My friend and I just go out of AV. My friend's the tank. Healer is a Scholar. Other DPS is an archer (might have been machinist), and I was a Summoner. Multiple times throughout the fight, both DPS (me and archer) died, and tank was left to go down to very low HP every time (like 600 range). Tank had to save himself with potions several times because Scholar wouldn't heal. We got to the room after first fruit morbol and I died again there because Scholar was too mesmerized with attacking the enemies than to heal people (note, I was avoiding orange attacks, just healer kept pulling baby morbols on us). I knew a heal wasn't coming and that was the third time it happened. Tank and I asked them why they aren't healing and he said "mechanics allow me to wait until last minute so im doing good". I pointed out that several of us have died numerous times because he won't heal, so maybe he isn't, and he said "am I supposed to do tanks job too?". I told him "no, just healers' job". Fights go on. We get to end boss. He's attacking and not healing either DPS, and continues to only heal tank when he's about to die. I was near death again, waiting for cure, nothing. So I said "That's alright, I'll heal myself Scholar.". And throughout the fight, I had to maintain both DPS (me and archer) with my pathetic little physick and had to occasionally heal tank, too.
If people don't want to heal, they shouldn't take the class. It's that simple, really.
My Ruby EX Gwiber farms have gone like this: someone always doesn't remember/never did the fight and wants an easy clear, troll gets the gwiber then wastes the time of everyone in the group and a slot for a player who knows what they're doing, gwiber doesn't drop at all (seventeen in a row so far), and people quit after the first clear. Also still relying on the damn Echo by wiping at the start of the second phase. Last night we would have wiped if I was any slower getting to this fool's spot for meteors when he was in mine. At fifty seven totems.

To me that reads like that Healer was convinced group wide damage does not exist and that if a DPS is eating damage it's the tanks fault (Since the healer said "Should I do tanks job too"). They will hopefully not get far with that attitude.
