Yours happened to be the latest post and I didn't feel like digging around to quote everything beforehand when it was super early in the morning. Believe what you want tbh, I genuinely can't even be assed to care.

Though point still stands, if you pop sprint and position against a wall, a dps should rarely be ahead of you. Doesn't mean the RDM wasn't an idiot for not bringing mobs back with them rather than running off, but yeah.

Also things will be "done" the moment you stop bothering to respond. But you feel a need to keep responding to people saying they didn't read or trying to defend yourself, which is perpetuating the conversation. And in the above case... Rinhi didn't even quote you or was speaking about you. So...

I mean, that's how conversations on the forum happen. You quote me, if I feel like responding I will, if not, I won't. Not sure if you're aware people can carry on a conversation without actual emotions behind it. This is basically the equivalent of me reading the newspaper in the morning. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And so we come to the hypocrisy: you want it to rest, and the best way to do that is stop quoting people complaining they didn't read or what have you. But instead, you're continuing to respond, which can prompt others to respond in kind. So you're kinda just perpetuating the issue you claim you want to let rest, my dude. But at this point most posts are in response to SavageCipher's incredibly warped and out-of-touch take on the tank role, not to you and your original post.

I have been busy leveling through the expansions on an alt lately, so my time in DF has been pretty nonexistent other than some Nier runs here and there. But yesterday I did a few roulettes for some poetics on said alt, landed into Syrcus since that's.... uh. The only raid she has unlocked. <<; (I've been speeding through expacs trying to get her ready for EW, haven't grabbed much outside MSQ stuff as a result lol)

To say the bosses were Beyblades would be an understatement. I'm pretty sure all three tanks were having a provoke war wank-off the entire time, and on Amon that resulted a few times in people getting burned by that frontal cleave he does. Add in people not killing the slimes on that boss, and... well. Thankfully my group survived because of AST shields (rip Noct sect in a couple months), but that's a nightmare I'll not soon want repeats of.

Still not as bad as the WoD I got once, where my party's tank refused to give up MT despite the fact they were consistently getting people killed and wiggling bosses around. They were also made of wet tissue paper, apparently - my coheal ended up having to drop dpsing altogether just to keep them up. I didn't think to check their gear, but if they were taking that much damage so quickly, I can only assume it was bad. Thankfully at one point when they died to Doom on Angry Mango for like the third time, my coheal stopped trying to res them and a more competent tank took over...

Only for the whole process to repeat again on every boss after. They even tried to tank Cerberus despite us being the belly team. :|

Doesn't mean that my wish to see everyone move on makes me a hypocrite. Others have already said that this topic irritates them, not to mention that this thread isn't about tank etiquette.

Still, as long as I have something to say I will say it. If it's not to your liking then you're free to stop responding too.

Yeah, it wasn't him who got the topic of that toxic mentality started. He was just unfortunately the post that set someone off into ranting about it, which ended up with others either assuming he was complicit in the idea or they were responding blanketly to the topic that got raised to begin with.
