Is Mexico considered part of the US/North America? No, it's its own country between North and South America. It's not even part of Central America.

Is South America part of the US/North America? No, it's its own continent that is a part of the "Americas" but they do not recognize themselves as the general "American" that the US does (hence why Brazilian, Chilean, etc. exists):

It really isn't hard to Google. Just because it's all a giant landmass does not mean everyone there recognizes themselves as American lmao.

America is typically only used to refer to the USA, whereas "The Americas" is used to refer to the North, South, and Central American landmass, and a select few islands off the coasts. It's like how you wouldn't call Africa the "Central African Republic" despite there being a country within Africa called the "Central African Republic," and the names being similar to each other as they contain the word "Africa" in them.

You know what? Youre actually right. My apologies.America is typically only used to refer to the USA, whereas "The Americas" is used to refer to the North, South, and Central American landmass, and a select few islands off the coasts.
