Is there a conspiracy for lvl capped players to ignore materia?

All true....it just seems rude. I'd never join content and allow my own laziness to burden others. It hurts my head to try to put myself in that thought space. Maybe I'm too nice.

I understand what you're saying, but I think calling it a burden or laziness is a bit overdramatic. There's not one piece of regular content that would fail without the use of materia.

Personally, I rarely even check other players' gear (aside from glamour curiosity) and just worry about myself. I slot Materia for myself because I want to contribute as much as I can, but I don't feel the need to chastise other players who don't. If another player is causing problems with completing the content, then it is more likely how they are playing the job than whether or not they have materia in their gear.
