Sure that would be the ideal but I am just working with what we got. If I had to choose personally I rather short muscular kina build for female hrothgar then bank and hope we get another race added.

It's technically not the place for the topic, but for what it's worth, that new bunny beast tribe in EW could work as a smol furry race, considering they seem like reskinned Lalas the same way Hrothgar are reskinned Roes, and they're also pretty close to Ivalice moogles (from what google shows me) - just glue a little balloon on top of their head and voila

I will be waiting until we see official renders for them but I really hope that the one in the picture is not how it will be in the end. As someone playing an Au Ra, its already annoying that the Xaela females are so much different from their males. They could at least used the clans to make a difference here and even if that only came down to Xaelas being able to be bigger or having another set of emotes.

Hrothgar females should not be so much different from their males, that would be such a huge missed opportunity. We have small females, then a handful different version of cute/beautiful normal height females and two big female races. So if you want to play that you can already do it ingame. We, right now, have no way to play a beastly female.

I don't want to bring up real world issues or sound like an extreme liberal, but it's really weird how [generally speaking, not just XIV] male characters can range from literally 2 ft tall potato shaped, to towering buff guys, to brick walls with sumo bellies, or even outright monsters, and nobody bats an eye, but molding a female character as anything remotely outside conventional human beauty ...or a child, is seen as a cardinal sin.

They should.
If their designers put just a little more effort into making certain features more attractive, this "Refrigerator" can be just as great, good looking, and popular as the same tiered Easy-Mode "Conventionally Attractive" women out there. There are people out there that like Women who dont look like Kim Kardasian or Insert generic super sexy Model here. Women of all types and sizes can be beautiful and Popular, not just One-Type of Woman. The same can be done with Characters in gaming. But just like these women who have to put in the effort to look good...designers need to put in the effort to make the character look good.

I might be the Minority here...but Dulia-Chai is an example of a Female Character that is designed Heavy, but she is still an attractive character.
Merlwyb is an attractive FemRoe built like a "Refrigerator"
Designs like these are not that hard to make. It just requires somebody who can put in some effort and not get scared and just fall back on the easy-traditional beauty standard that people are pressured into thinking is the only RIGHT way to look.

I kinda hope they make a beastly yet distinctly female race. I really don't want a petite thing nor do I want a male bodybuilder with a female head.

But part of me feels we are just going to get a Female Roegadyn + Miqote hybrid. And I hope it's better then that.

Please don't tell me this is your cheeky way of teasing how female hrothgars will look. Nearly all the races ingame are the same design wise, why start here? It's just a miqote with blue skin and a cleft lip. Please don't fall for the whole "beauty and the beast" design. I get that maybe you're trying to get around the current malehroth hat/hair situation but sacrificing the design consistency of a race is only going to come back to bite you in your rear.
If a bunch of raiders using banned addons to ruin Astrologian then maybe there'll be enough support here to ensure femhroths are consistent with the overall hrothgar design.
