I linked the #1 DPS player for E12S Part 2.

Is optimizing Lucid dreaming as BLM so irrelevant of a DPS gain that you can get at the top of the leaderboard without using it?

E12SP2 having stuns did not prevent the #2 BLM to use it twice. The difference between #1 and #2 is like 7 DPS in favour of the one who didn't use it. The difference in the ratio of abilities cast is significantly different yet the rDPS output is the same.

For E10S the top BLM has used it 5 times and the second-best 6 times and it should be noted that the second BLM has the shorter fight duration. If it was actually a part of optimization things would have been reversed. To me it seems that Lucid Dreaming is more like a personal preference when it comes to BLM. And obviously most BLM mains like being in Astral fire state only.
The #3 BLM has used it 3 times and is only losing with 100rDPS against #2 who used it 6 times and with 200rDPS against the #1 BLM who has used it 5 times.
And then we have #5 BLM who has used it 5 times and is losing against #3BLM with 100rDPS

How exactly is Lucid Dreaming considered DPS gain? Just in the top 5 we have instances where people who have used Lucid Dreaming more actually have less than the BLM who have used it less. Isn't saying that BLMs are using lucid dreaming for optimization more or less the same as saying "The outliner healers are using basic attacks for optimizing DPS output". While technically correct, the DPS you gain is laughable.
