I would say people who gets offended because someone doesn't care about their glam is even more insecure /shrugHiding glams, or how to make sure everybody looks exactly the same in a mix of horrible ilvl xxx (whatever is current) gear. People offended by glams screams insecure to me, especially since this is not a game where armor in itself is used for more than ilvl and fashion.
Oh, and I don't know where you're playing, but I see a huge variety on moogle, people are quite inspired. And the full bikini players many seem to hate are uncommon...
Two things: Who the hell is wearing a mix of gear unless they’re in the leveling process (and thus won’t be wearing it for long) and how not wanting to see your taste in fashion makes THEM the insecure one?Hiding glams, or how to make sure everybody looks exactly the same in a mix of horrible ilvl xxx (whatever is current) gear. Everyone should be allowed to play the game they the way they want to, even if its immersion-breaking for you (you could also be breaking someone else's vision of immersion, by the way). At the end of the day it's just the reality of mmos... everyone is allowed self-expression and the more variety there is in the game the more people will find a place for themselves. I myself am not a fan of overly modern attires / any kind of silly attires, but I'm not gonna go over to people and ask them to change.. If that's how they want to play the game, so be it.

Other players are non-canon to me. Dress how you want, we'll probably never meet again anyway.
In the end I use mods to alter the appearance of gear I do nit like. I do not see how my choice to not want to see something alter another's expression but it is what it is. I am sorry console players do not have such options.
It's hating/being offended by others' sense of fashion.
Mix of gear = tome/raid/crafting gear, ie once people have achieved their bis they pretty much all look the same without glam.
I personally don't mind the inclusion of a toggle being put in for this. But I also don't care for immersion and tend to like seeing what glamour people come up with, especially the comedic ones.
It shouldn't be implemented during a time when they're in a state of catching up, and may never be caught up without over working themselves and pulling inhumane work hours. But should they ever get to a caught up point then sure. Take some time out of your lighter work load to develop a means.
Though I'm under the assumption they're often in a state of over work or cutting it close due to how small their team is.
People are allowed to wear whatever glam they want to.
Not while there's still class restrictions we aren't!
