I might be wrong, but the updates, will shrink in size. I got a 32gb card, basically I guess that this will be able to update ff xiv for 10 years lol.It actually is just as powerful even though it does not have as much raw power. It has more system memory but less video memory (cause the resolution is lower it doesn't need as much as the PS3). The GPU is faster but the CPU is slower. It has less cores but that means the devs got less work to do to optimize their games (multithreading). It could probably even run ffxiv as broken as it is right now but the fps wouldn't be enjoyable (I'd guess something around 20fps).
The biggest problem I see though is the mass of updates. Unless you can write on the game's memory stick this game would be filling your all-purpose memory stick with 12GB of tiny files.
Another problem is the low resolution... how you want to fit the walls of text ffxiv currently spams at you into that small display? xD
