PS Vita and Final Fantasy XIV

As the title says, can we dream of one day to play Final Fantasy XIV full game with the PS Vita? I know you were considering an app for smartphones to manage retainers and inventory etc, but it would be awesome to be able to play it not only with the PS3, but anywhere else since that beast which is the vita can run FFXIV with the same quality as the ps3 if not more.

I would love to be able to dream about that with 2.0.

there is no hope for this, because it would simply be to amazing and the vita is a peace of shit proprietary waist of money. It will be too locked down with security (aka sony insecurity) to be worth developing games for and the only thing you will ever see is ratchet and clank/ maybe a metal gear video magazine game. Final fantasy 14 will probably never even release on ps3 they cant even finish the 1.21 patch in the time they said.

I maybe sound a little harsh but i just finished my 50 somethingish moogle fight with another 3 dark matter under my belt and 2 weapons (nether i want) after 3 months of 4 moogle runs a week and im a little pissed off about that right now.

You do sound pissed off to be blurting out nonsense like that, the PS Vita is pretty good honestly, it has very good uncharted game with FF11 being put on it and FF10 Remastered. Plus some new games from guys who did uncharted.

As for XIV, dont know, they may see how well XI gets attention on it and see if it is worth it, but honestly the screen is so small and not practical at all, i dont know how FF11 is going to manage on it with its big chunky UI.

Don't forget that the Vita have the rear panel, plus cross chat. Plus touch screen. That's up to the devs to come uP with creative ways to make use of them and unclunk the UI. If you played uncharted vita you can see how they implemented some good and bad touch screen cOmands. I wouldn't post about this before playing the vita, but regarding the screen size, I can tell: it's huuuge for a handheld. It's almost the size of my psp alone! I think it can make ff xiv on the go, look pretty good

What? There's no big clunky UI in FFXI lol, if anything the shit is too small on most modern computers, and given Vita's specs it would actually scale perfectly for it.

Actually, from the reports i read so far, the developers seem to be praising how easy it is to program games for the Vita and to port older games to it. Yes, it is locked down pretty harshly, but as they say it... "it's a sony". I myself don't plan to get one exactly because of those reasons.

I doubt that would be used as an excuse, because speaking of raw hardware, ps vita don't own to the ps3, and if by limited you mean keyboard, I can see companies providing some keyboard attach like they did with the ps3 controller

I understand some of the Sony hate, but developers have actually open stated that the Vita is a breeze to develop for. I think that can be proven by the number of launch titles.
