It’s just getting tedious when you even tell them exactly what they can and can’t do and they give zero fluff and do it anyway only too not change anything mid expansion for healer and then on the other hand you see nin getting a full rework and a good one at the same time. Like at some point you just think it’s some kind of bad joke that they say they are in touch with the community and just fail to make healer decent since years. Also they ignore information at heal when it comes too healer skipping slides and talking about nonsense rather they have the balls and say “yes we know healer are bad BUT we gonna do that and that” you actually feels like a 3 grade person just being there for the dps too have fun.

That's pretty much what it feels like. The role exists simply to sustain DPS and keep the experience fun and interesting for them. God it almost feels that way with Tanks as well.

It's just exhausting to see how further they've devolved your class based on feedback no one gave, and responses that make no sense based on how the job is played by the community.

Continuing to lower the skill ceiling and balance based off the lowest denominator of skill level is exactly why new Healers are absolutely AWFUL in Shadowbringers.

My only expectation is to go over Sage stuff already talked about and even with this incredibly low bar I still think they may ignore anything healer related for Reaper and the other dps.

The devs through their lack of understanding of the healer role itself as seen with the nerf to Energy drain to make Schs heal more, spoilers SE any self respecting Sch who was using Energy drain would use Energy Drain even if it dealt 1 damage if the healing cds tied to Aetherflow stack were unnecessary at that time, this ideology of healers does not fit FFXIV's battle systems, the content does not support it, so stop trying to turn healers into a square shape going into a round hole and just make healers the round shape they used to be.

Smoothing the old gameplay out would've been better than the sledgehammer you took to the healers.

Haha yeah, one time I was just running around in Thanalan and a sprout asked in NN which healer job is the most fun. I gave him the straightest answer, "there are no fun healer jobs in this game, healers solely exist so DPS people can have fun and by extension, same goes for tanks".

Scholar is losing Energy Drain, 100%. There won't be any dump for Aetherflow and it will be as bad as it was at Shadowbringers launch. I'd say they'll give it back again, but they're probably done with the ability entirely.

Every healer is going to lose their DoT to help bridge the gap between the skill floor and skill ceiling.

More homogenization, since players can't read their tooltips.

Sage will be terrible because they don't know what makes Scholar a great healer and will make it Noct 2.0

AST will probably lose some cards since having 6 is kind of confusing, or something.

Another other horrible things that won't be fixed and will be whiteknighted to say it's great. When we ask for proper reworks, we will be told to wait until the next expansion again. Rinse and repeat until healers have no more DPS buttons at all and the role itself is replaced with NPCs.

I know most of you healer mains have made up your minds considering the devs track record when it comes to healers. I’ll probably be the only one here with a little hope and faith. eh, whatever changes they announce will have been set in stone for at least a few months if the team is confident enough in their progress to bring them into the LL. if they do kneecap us even further it's not like KDSilver jinxed anyone.
