Lore-ish thoughts about Auri descendance/lineage

The lore behind race hybrids isn't terribly consistent as both Arenvald and Severa are half-Garlean on their father's side, but the latter has a third eye while the former doesn't.

There's also just not many of them in general with Hilda, the aforementioned two, and the Au Ra from that legend being the only ones mentioned/present.

Actually, I believe Arenvald did have the third eye too, I did the MSQ again recently and he said that when her third eye appeared, her mother couldn't bear with it and tried to remove it herself with a knife or sthg like that, he then got a scar and wear that tattoo just to hide this.

Whereas fo Ramza we do not really know if he has the third eye due to the haircut hiding it very well, however Jenomis has the third eye so we can't say for sure half-garleans all have the third eye or not.

I dont think Au Ra hybrids are possible (for the most part). Maybe some minor changes in the scales color, shorter tail, smaller height or just a bit less scales. But nothing really extraordinary. I think its pretty straight forward.

But hey, maybe its time to introduce a new race: The Lala Ra (Lalafell x Au Ra) : D

I want to believe and I do believe mixed couples (or hybrid as you call them) are possible, like Aura x Hyurs cause they're quite similar, or even Elezen x Aura and at least reproduction between them would work. On the other side I don't believe reproduction would be possible between two races that are too different physically like Lalafell x Hyurs or Lalafell x Hrothgar !
Also there's one thing to distinguish, this does not prevent two persons to fall in love, even if they're from different races and even if they know they can't have children, I'm only speaking here about mixed couples I believe reproduction would be possible

Elezen are pretty tall. Maybe female Elezen and male Au Ra... .

But female Au Ra are shorter than female Hyurs. It may be possible to have a male Lalafell x female Au Ra couple >: D

I guess the line for compatibility between races is Hyur. Everything taller than a Hyur may fit for male Au Ra. Everything below for female Au Ra.







I never noticed, that Au Ra males are the 2nd tallest, while females are the 2nd shortest race... O_O

Back when Arenvald was written, it was said by multiple characters that only purebloods get the third eye. Arenvald himself said that his mother went crazy and thought there was a third eye growing when there wasn't. Severa is a recent shake-up to the canon. She's half-Garlean from her father's side but she has a black third eye, and is the only character in the game with a black third eye.

We know Ramza doesn't have a third eye because the game model data. And Jenomis is a pureblood Garlean so he has a normal third eye. Not all pureblood Garleans use the elezen body. Off the top of my head, Midas, Jenomis, and a dancer on the theater airship straight up use midlander hyur bodies with a third eye pasted on while Cid has a unique body pasted on top of a midlander skeleton so he's just as short as midlanders and has their emotes.
