Me.
The WoL.
I often feel like I am a spectator in others tales, and I am simply around so by the strength of my arm I can bring them success and they can move on to the next chapter in their story.
I have no agency.
I have little opportunity to show my personality.
I am here to facilitate the story.

I am one of the ascians. That's cool because it means I'm not even me. I'm basically piloting an NPC.

That has always been the FF way of storytelling, you're not playing from the characters POV. Think of it as an interactive book from a 3rd person perspective.

Outside of combat, you're not playing the WoL, from a story-telling perspective.
