Who is your least favorite major character and why?

Wao so much hate for best boi in this thread. Sad!

Anyway, least favorite character is a tie between minfilia and thancred. I kinda checked out from the story for most of the time while minfilia was relevant, and she is a big reason for that. Writing wise she was just so uninteresting, and let alone useless to do anything. Not very good qualities for someone who was supposed to be the leader.

As with thancred, I really just can't identify with his character at all. He's pretty boring, and most of his motivations boil down to "save the girl, because girl." And that's fine and all, could just be executed in a more interesting way.

They sorta tried to handwave it a couple patches later by having Alphinaud mention that under the bridge is a swirling sea of chaotic aether that no mortal could hope to survive, with the implication that everyone in-story would already know it.....but then we have to remember that Alphinaud and the WoL should also know that their frequent enemies include the Ascians, who are not mortal.

Thats why it's still bad. It also lead to a lackluster showing of the WoD. That whole arc was just lackluster and almost bad. People give stormblood flack but fail to rememeber how bad HW was after Niddhogg was finally killed. I guess my point is yes I remember them trying to handwave that away.. but they failed. That's all I'm saying.
