Monster shows up/lands, roars, battle swirl/fade effect.
You now saw 90% of the cutscenes.
Turning every dungeon into Praetorium is a good way to get folks to stop using Roulette.

Except for the ones that aren't like this where you never know its going to be like that as a new player. If those are 90% of the cutscenes though then there shouldn't be an issue with making them unskippable right? Why not just have all duty cutscenes be unskippable now?
Again, if 20+ minutes of cutscenes don't stop people from using MSQ DF then I seriously doubt it will stop people from using the other ones. There's not a more efficient way for people to level up so they aren't going to stop using it because they have to watch cutscenes.Turning every dungeon into Praetorium is a good way to get folks to stop using it.

That is just it. You said it most efficient way. SE has not adjusted for every CS in the game. Take away that giant bonus and what would MSQ DF get. First time player bonus is garbage. And I have not seen it since ARR, but I am very careful about pulling with CS. I have seen people get glitched in several dungeons where they can't cross the line into the boss room, not even after the boss is killed. Nothing like ruining a persons run by making them do it over because they can't exit properly.
You are mad af, do you know how much time everyone will have to waste to entertain your idea of unskippable cutscenes everywhere? It's not happening ever.
Talk about being ignorant. One hour of cutscenes does stop people from using MSQ. It's just the number of people who are still using it to level up their classes passively is never-ending. It is no coincidence why some people have multiple classes level 80 and are playing worse than a sprout when it comes to AoE and ST rotation. They simply haven't played the game, they've been watching cutscenes.Again, if 20+ minutes of cutscenes don't stop people from using MSQ DF then I seriously doubt it will stop people from using the other ones.
It's up to you to decide.
I don’t think you even know what you’re trying to say here any more. DR is pretty much only used to level up people’s characters and will continue to be used for that. So yeah even if you for a minute long cutscenes in a leveling dungeon there will be and endless stream of people using them to level alternate jobs. MSQ roulette proves this. You can sit there and pretend it’s going to be the end of DR all day long but as long as people get good experience for doing DR they will continue to use it.
You’re whole tirade about players only using MSQ to level makes absolutely zero sense since that’s all people are using most of the DRs for as it is.
You’re argument boils down to even though people use MSQ to level they will stop using leveling dungeon roulette to level if we force 20-60 second cutscenes on them which is frankly ridiculous. They were the same arguments people used when unskippable MSQ was introduced and here we are. Turns out people will sit through cutscenes if they get rewarded for it. Fear mongering about people stopping the use of DR doesn’t really work when we’ve seen an extreme example otherwise.

My warrior, in DR, 4 fortitude, 6 valor. Was just told to wait cause one in cut scene. Hope his first time wasn’t ruined. No one dared pull
I saw someone else write that the courtesy goes both ways, can't find the post so I'm quoting you instead.
No, no it does not. Unless you're the kind of grown-up that makes children cry because it's your turn on the swings.
I had one particular run of Tower a few weeks back that comes to mind. We had maybe 3 newbies across the entire raid. When we reached the last boss, absolutely not a single one of us pulled. We all waited patiently for those 3 people to finish their cutscene. People were goofing around with emotes, and not a one was complaining in chat. On the contrary, some were even saying how pleasantly surprised they were to see us all so well-behaved. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, not like this thread.
and yet people still run MSQ roulette despite 30mins of forced cutscenes. Shocker. No doubt they'll stop queueing for leveling roulette by the thousands for 20s of forced cutscenes! /s
Besides, it wouldn't change anything if cutscenes were made unskippable. People love their roulette rewards. Especially since with such a change, it wouldn't matter if they used a roulette or hard-que'd a dungeon; there'd be forced cutscenes all the time no matter what, so might as well go with the option that gives the giant bonus.
Besides, as you pointed out, 90% of dungeons, for the newbie to watch the terrifying monster swoop in and roar it would tack on 10s to the run. The horror.
and for the remaining 10%, those are MSQ cutscenes like the ones in Stone Vigil & Thousands maws and thus the sprout should get the opportunity to watch them without being bothered or pressured lest they miss out on the fight.
