It is a form of courtesy but seriously, you're not missing much.
The key part of going into a dungeon is to experience the dungeon, especially when you are there for the first time. On the very rare occasions there are long cutscenes, the majority of them are about to take you into a key fight. We're paying to play a story-focused video game. This means that you should get to experience the story, and the gameplay, at the time it was intended to be experienced. If it were just trash mobs it's not too big a deal, although if the cutscene is long enough that you are now left behind completely (hi, Praetorium). However, generally speaking, the longer cutscenes are before a boss fight, often a notable character in the plot.

You assume every body cares about others pulling while they are in cutscenes. Yes, it would be wise to wait but the point being made here is not that everyone cares if something is pulled while they are in a cutscene.

You are absolutely right. But it is still irony all the same. Why should people have to wait for a cutscene watcher? And why do early pullers have to pull early... because they value their time? Some say the world doesn't revolve around the puller but it also doesn't revolve around the cutscene watcher. It revolves around the group as a whole. Meaning if it's you're first time in the dungeon and want to experience cutscenes you should let your party know. Many people are silent and all the pulling happens.

The same as when tanks ask the healer if they can handle big pulls when they state they are new in the dungeon. However, this won't work in Prae. Also, you can easily re-watch any cutscene in the inn as well as new game+. Sure, you may not experience it first-hand as "Intended" like you said, but at least you can go back and watch anything you missed or re-experience it again.

The world doesn't have to stop for a cutscene watcher. It is common courtesy to do so but objectively, no one has to. And some don't care if you go on ahead.

If you are getting extra rewards such as exp and tombstones for doing content with new people yes you do have a obligation to allow them their first time experience. Also if you are so selfish as to rush people who never experienced the story that is a you problem and you should probably make a premade group so you are not inconvenienced by new players. The problem with pulling before people are ready is you have just made a decision for the whole group. That is rude and it shows how selfish you are. (You doesn't mean you the person I am quoting) it just means anyone with this attitude that some how a couple minutes of their life just was wasted. Omg it would matter if it was your dieing breath, but seriously this is a game. If you are not competent enough to manage your time by planning for cut scenes or screwups in a dungeon run don't do that activity. I also know there are people who accidently pull although I'm on clear as to how that occurs. Because if you are competent enough to handle mechanics you should be aware of your party members. Anyway, those of you who can't be bothered to wait have alternatives to create a party in a different way. Just don't cry about not getting extra tombstones or exp.

This, be nice to other players, 20 seconds will not hurt, I promise.

So you don't want to hear people's opinions you just want people to agree with you? Because that is what you are expressing trying to disparage anyone who disagrees with you before they even express a opinion. So here goes a good guy saying it's a common courtsey to wait for all party members to be ready and you should schedule your time better. Full stop.

It is wrong to berate or harass someone for doing it but it should be said hey it's bad form to pull while in a cut scene.

I never said anyone who disagrees with me is inherently bad, therefore I am not shutting down any line of conversation. I said the same people who get vitriolic in alliance will comment here with the same attitude. Reading comprehension. I guess everyone has their strawmans moment, though.

Secondly, I have a full time job. I work 48 hours a week, not including travel time. But yes, let me schedule my time better, how dare I...

Still no excuse for not waiting on cutscenes.. my work can keep me up to 55+ hrs each week and have over an hour drive to am from work.. I still respectfully wait for players to watch cutscenes

I like to wait for the players to finish the cutscenes because I deem it as being polite, so we can all start fighting the boss together. I was actually playing The Copy Factory yesterday and people started the fight without me before my cutscene had finished so I felt there was this rush to go in and help with the fight - it kinda put pressure on me to end the cutscene early and just get on with it.

Seriously you're defending not waiting because you have a job and waiting the few extra seconds it gong to matter in your real life schedule. Perhaps waiting also give time to people to apply the appropriate buffs and refresh those that rarely get applied when the fast pull tanks pull right away. That would also speed up the run. I simply love DR when the tanks pull instantly or the dps for that matter ever before i can apply Shell or Protect let alone any other damage buffs people might want to apply.

Being courteous isn't a bad thing either you know.

It is when you are being courteous to the wrong people.
