What do JP players think of the Cruise Chaser mount?

As a NA player, I honestly would have preferred if they made it a MGP mount. Put it at 9 million MGP, and then it's something for people to work towards. I'm sure eventually, when it goes on sale and I have the extra money to throw at it, I probably will buy it...but until then, I'm not going to be buying it.

Yeah, no one can deny that there are other ways they could've made it obtainable.
But that can be said about everything they put up on the store as well.
Idunno what makes them decide what to add there or not.
For now I'm just accepting that that's the decision they made and that's ok.
No reason to get stuck up wasting time being upset over it.
I'd rather just accept and move on doing what I do.
(And no I haven't bought it. But it's a cool mount)

And if they gotta add something to the store then why not something cool that makes people who pay for it feel like they get their moneys worth.

Chocobo racing(and breeding is pretty fun) with friends. I've observed people really into Triple Triad and Doman Mahjong.

Personally, I accumulated around 6.5m MGP in about 2 years just by doing, Mini-Cacpot,Jumbo Cacpot,Fashion Report, Lords of Vermion challenge, once a week.

Once a week. I was not the most efficient at farming MGP.

Imagine if someone really wanted the mount and they farmed MGP efficiently especially during the Make It Rain events.

I could literally work a job in real life, and make enough to buy this mount in a fraction of the time wasted in the Gold Saucer. If that was the alternative, I'd pass. Like, I'm sorry SE, but if I wanted to actually play any of the minigames at the Saucer, I would just play an actual game for each type, that does it better.

You just google and copy the cheap 80 points Fashion Report, enter the Verminion Tournament and concede every game instantly to NPC's, clear the Verminion challenge log by zerging boss battle 4 semi-afk with all Wind-Up Gentlemen and do Cactpot. The tournament in particular is very underrated, you don't even play Verminion and you get big MGP.

This maths out at something like 10.2 million a year average without MGP buffs and depending on how many on your server do the tournament.

Barely 10 mins a day of minimum effort and you rack up millions over time. Triple Triad, MGP cards from moogle tomes, Chocobo races and the mini-games are bad value. I bought nearly everything and MGP capped a long time ago.

That's actually a lot of work to me; complete tedium. I haven't done a fashion report since I got the outfit attached to it. I can't even remember to collect my cactpot tickets at the end of the week, on the occasion I do get them. Anyway, with the argument of this mount being a raid boss, I think there are other, better ways it could have been implemented into the game, aside from the mogstation. The fact that people are apparently cheesing this, just shows to me many players are only in there for the MGP rewards, and not the Gold Saucer itself.

Things I do in Gold Saucer: daily mini-cactpot, weekly jumpo cactpot, and weekly fashion report. I have just over 9mil MGP, all the mounts, and orchestrions, and all the hairs. It doesn't take forever to get MGP, and honestly, most of the stuff is stupid easy to figure out.

And if people actually want to earn it, they will do the challenge log stuff and keep doing the GATEs after.

It looked cool - I bought it - I was happy. Don't see a problem with that.
