I see my throwaway comment in the thread of pointing out that Haurchefant doesn't much give a crap about gender got under the troll's skin. Good, if you're gonna be a hater to a community who already gets enough crap in the real world, you deserve to have your feathers ruffled.
C'mon dawg... really?

Incorrect. Due to the ability to Fantasia, and due to the fact that no matter your canon, Haurchefant will hit on you anyway... he's bisexual/WoLSexual. You can Fantasia from being a man to a woman, and he will still be attracted to your WoL. You are the same person, and he does not care about your sex nor your gender. It's often said that Haurchefant is bisexual. The reason given to justify this claim is he hits on the player regardless of their sex in the Japanese dialogue. There's two problems with this argument.
This is only canon in the Japanese dialogue, not the English. Meaning, if you're going through the English dialogue, then there's no good evidence to suggest that he's bisexual in your character's canon.
Regardless, the real problem is that each player has their own canon. Haurchefant dies in the canon of every player but we wouldn't say this is evidence of him dying more than once. And this goes for other scenes and dialogue. Each player's canon is separated and self-contained. Therefore, if I play a male character and Haurchefant hits on me, then that's evidence that he's homosexual, but only in the canon for that particular character. If I play a female character and Haurchefant hits on me, then that's evidence that's he's a heterosexual, but only in the canon for that particular character. But we can't say "Well, he hit on this character... and then he hit on that other character, so therefore he's this" because the canon of these characters cannot exist at the same time. If we said that they did, then we'd also have to say that it's canon that Haurchefant has gone through the exact same dialogue and scenes millions of times, including his death.
English localization omitted the passes he makes at the WoL, because they are weenies.

As I said in my original post, each player character has their own self-contained and separate canon. Not every player will use Fantasia. Therefore, the epistemic warrant generated from the canon of a player who uses Fantasia cannot cross over to other players. At best, Haurchefant will be bisexual in your story.
I've already addressed this in my original post.and due to the fact that no matter your canon, Haurchefant will hit on you anyway...
Actually, I heard it was because they were worried that it'd be considered sexual harassment.English localization omitted the passes he makes at the WoL, because they are weenies.

Who cares? It's a story. It's not real life. It's a story. Some people need some fresh air.
Enjoy Life you only get one.
Fantasia isn't canon, and doesn't he say some pervy stuff about watching his men sweat while working out? So it's not just the WoL.Incorrect. also this is interesting, I don't quite remember a lot from ARR but it seems they changed it to be a bit closer to the JP version?

In high fantasy settings all NPCs are considered Bisexual unless stated otherwise..
Now can SE please ban this troll

The change that it brings is, and that's true too.Fantasia isn't canon, and doesn't he say some pervy stuff about watching his men sweat while working out? So it's not just the WoL.

It doesn't matter that not every player will use Fantasia. Every player can use Fantasia, and it will in no way change Haurchefant's flirtations. This means that player sex is irrelevant, and that Haurchefant is Bi. Your argument is extremely obtuse, and you know it.As I said in my original post, each player character has their own self-contained and separate canon. Not every player will use Fantasia. Therefore, the epistemic warrant generated from the canon of a player who uses Fantasia cannot cross over to other players. At best, Haurchefant will be bisexual in your story.

Haurchefant is a given quantity that does not change across playthroughs, for any reason. If he were a sexuality other than Bi, then changing your sex would affect his flirtations.
Just as you cannot change the fact that he will always help you. He will always die. He will always be a bastard son. Player canon does not drive the game, nor will it ever. /patpat
