No, the post isn't a troll post, and no offense taken. I rather spread positivity to my fellow players and not be a jerk. I will block and ignore problem players more then, but I rather they could have said "ok let me move a little" or "please leave me alone" I would have done that without an issue. With what I said earlier, about asking people questions which I am quoting "also notice how uneasy people have become when talking to others." and " I see a lot of people walking on eggshells more and not so friendly anymore???" like people are legit afraid to speak nice and respectful to others like something bad is going to happen...I think people need to relax a little, it's just a game, and being so uptight towards one another doesn't help. All I wish is people enjoy themselves and now when I find a bad apple, I know I will just ignore them. But I do see why people are afraid to talk to other people, because of the backlash they get for it like with what happened to me.some people do it because they've come from bad, dismissive communities and are surprised that the majority of the XIV community isn't immediately hostile, others virtue signal on how zomg awesome and nice the community they're part of is and how other communities and the players in it are so much worse
and on the other hand, others do it because they come from a normal community with good and bad parts (like every community ever) and expect the XIV one to be the next best thing after sliced bread and are genuinely let down because it's "just" normal and not how the cult that loves to idolize it said it is, not to mention possibly just being plain unlucky with running into bad people
could also be a troll whose not saying the whole story, no offence OP
since it's not directly related to the topic, but similar posts to one in this thread get posted a few times in threads like this, I'll put it in a spoiler because I found it interesting
that being said, and I don't mean the poster in this thread did this and am just speaking generally, but I do think it's funny how these topics always get posts that say "don't generalise a whole community because of a few bad experiences" when this forum absolutely loves to do this when it comes to WoW and circlejerk about how much better we are than players from there and seemingly don't have issues generalising others, but get upset when others do it to "us"

I completely agree with you, people love to misunderstand anything you say in this game if they feel like it
I really dunno what you're talking about outside of trying to help people which I've complained about many times.
If you make literally any comment on how someone is playing even if you go out of your way to make it sound as nice as possible and you're genuinely trying to help.
People will still take it as a personal attack or like you're trying to FORCE people to play one way.
I've changed how I say it to be as inoffensive as humanly possible and it still happens.
Some may disagree but I still think it's totally fine to tell someone that they should probably look up a guide if they're playing on an especially low level that makes it very obvious they haven't even read their tooltips.
But people are so touchy that they'll see that as a personal attack too and like you're mocking them.
With this particular thing people will just read the absolute worst of intentions into it.
It's like people expect you to be some kind of a mind reader who knows whether they're intentionally playing poorly or if they're genuinely confused or think they're doing things correctly but aren't.
Just ignoring people who appear to need actual help doesn't make you a good person but people act like it and then go after anyone who tries to help.
Edit: Also if someone offers you help and are being nice about it, it's really passive aggressive to just ignore them and even worse to lash out on them.
It's not that hard to just essentially say '' thanks, but no thanks ''.

So I am guessing with WoW's comment that I am over the target then. I rather not be confrontational towards others and help spread a more positive message. and the comments of WoW and others are not going to be tolerated anymore? It is a step in a direction toward people relaxing more and having a good time playing the game.

WoW is just a troll, while they do have some good posts here and there, they're usually trying to get a rise out of peopleSo I am guessing with WoW's comment that I am over the target then. What I was saying was people just need to relax a bit and not be so uptight about things, I asked questions first in-game to the community because I didn't know if any changes came about when I was gone and had no ill intentions whatsoever. Also, it's not low skill when asking a question, when I don't legitly know something it's better to ask a question than being ignorant and uninformed which is why I ask questions. Now if that means me asking a question equates to being a low-skilled player which isn't logical.I really dunno what you're talking about outside of trying to help people which I've complained about many times.
