A returning players thoughts on the community

As a returning player, I memory-holed a lot of things so I can get a fresh start with a new toon. I am taking my time to learn DRG properly and not be mislead by false info. I am going slower than normal so I can do my research on my job so when a new skill is unlocked I can figure out where it goes in my rotation. I am relearning slower than normal so I can be an effective player, not just a "look at me" type player. also notice how uneasy people have become when talking to others. This is not how the community use to be. I asked a question bout something to another player and they freaked out when I asked a legit question about how many aetherrite shards are there in Limsa since I didn't know if they increased the amount, or I if saw a cool outfit people are wearing. I see a lot of people walking on eggshells more and not so friendly anymore??? I find it rather unsociable and rather not so friendly like they are looking for an excuse to be angry or offended over something. I kindly asked a person to move away from the retainer bell because they were standing on top of it and I did ask them to kindly move because I could access it. They lose there shyte in public chat saying "stop looking at my backside" (had to edit myself on this one) and tried to get other people to dogpile me while they tried to slink away. mins later a GM asked me what had happened and I told the GM what I said in chat and to check the chat log file as well to verify what I said. I was about to get a temp ban for 2 people who tried to false flag me for no reason... is this is how the community has become? I was legit being respectful to others, I just don't get the logic in the behavior...makes me want to ask for a refund and not play anymore...
