I'd love to see BA and DRS made much more accessible, though I'm not really sure what the best solution to that would be. I refuse to use Discord. It has its uses, but I think requiring it is detrimental to the content that it is supposedly "needed" for at least as far as player participation goes.

We've been scheduling stuff outside of the game since the days of FFXI. I used to help manage the unofficial/agreed upon Dynamis schedule for my XI server on the Zam forums, outside of the game. Discord is just the latest manifestation of that because XIV doesn't really allow for good asynchronous communication inside of the game.

Before Alliance Roulette was added, there was a general consensus on Primal DC that "6PM Sunday is when we will all run alliance raids." I haven't quite heard any similar consensus around CLL/Dalriuda, even though we could organized things through Party Finder if there was an agreed upon time. I also don't know of any CLL/Dalriuda specific linkshells, although I haven't actually looked for them either.

Then you'll likely never participate in DRS unless they completely nerf it into the ground. There are far too many things that could go wrong for any group not to require Discord. You don't even need to talk but simply listen.

And that's fine. I just want these things to be more accessible. Getting in shouldn't be the hard part. If that means a ton of failed runs before eventually clearing I'm okay with that. Just because I only have to listen isn't a good selling point. I simply have no interest in using it to clear content that IS doable without it. It's the principle of the matter, mostly.

The accessibility you're asking for is a completely watered down version that can be easily cleared in a pug setting. That's the only way people won't demand Discord. You may be fine with several failed runs but in content with that many players, and with mechanics that can cause the whole group to wipe. People aren't willing to take the risk, especially not out of principle.
