Are the duels truely so inaccessible to people? I did them all via lost flare cheese. Not the most honourable, but it meant I only had to learn the first few mechanics since each duel only lasted 1 minute.

They require you to not only do an entire CE without getting hit, something that people with bad lag or latency will have problems doing or may never pull off, but you're then rolling against everybody else who DID pull it off. And again, if you get into the Duel, a random lag spike will lead to you losing anyway, cheese or no cheese.

Most of the failures to get into duels or failures during the duels I've had are due to random lag/latency from my ISP, something I cannot fix at all on PS4. Meaning Duels are off the plate, they can't be done for me unless I get really lucky. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with this problem. And depending on the area you're in (I'm in a small rural area with a lot of farms), it cannot easily be fixed.

Adding my voice to the choir. I’m beyond frustrated by spending 150+ minutes in a Bozja instance, killing scorpions and every associated skirmish waiting for For Absent Friends // Of Steel and Flame // Metal Fox Chaos to spawn. Then not getting chosen for the duel, and never getting Sart’s note. Three hours a day for weeks, wasted. And I still need Lyon II from The Dalriada despite well over 50 runs at this point. I’ve been at 48/50 forever, and I’m losing hope.

As others have said, with extremes we get totems. Something so we know all our time and effort aren’t in vain. I’ve never had my spirits so crushed by SE as they are by the RNG and insanely low drop rates of these notes.

I’ve never asked for hard content to get nerfed or drop rates to be buffed, and likely never will again, but the combination of the 150+ minutes to spawn the skirmishes and then the abysmally low drop rates make this utterly soul crushing.

G'day all,
So I'm back again to let you all know that I am now at 106 clears of the Dalriada raid without receiving the mention field note or the raptor mount. I've just been submitting bug reports at this point in the hopes that the devs will wuit burying their heads in the sand with this issue.

The drop rate on the field notes is f***ed and the devs need to fix it. Before you start to berate me about not doing the duels I'm going to stop you right there, I've tried and failed 3 times already, and the people who tell me to do the duels are the same people who abuse me if i fail said duels, saying that I've wasted an opportunity for someone to do it... makes no f***ing sense right, but it happens, to me and to others.

This content isn't fun to do anymore and hasn't been for a while now, how long does this thread got to get before you finally fix things devs. We've all had a blood gut-full of this rot, it's time to pay the piper.

Quick update, finally got the last note i needed to get the mount after 109 runs of Dalriada, did it with 3 other people so I'm extremely happy and relieved. Now i just need to get the raptor mount and I'm done.

But in all fairness this issue needs to be addressed. I've outlined the issues with the resistance content in previous posts on this thread. I'm sure most people will agree.

All i can say is to hang in there, hopefully it won't take 109+ runs for you as it did for me. I'm just too stubborn and didn't want to let the game beat me.

I knew my first post would be me whining about something but I can't really say anything here that already hasn't been said.

I've attempted to cheese the duels to no avail (Guess I didn't crit hard enough. Got Menenius down to 2%, died to his mitigation mechanic and my reraiser decided to not proc. Fun content.), I've attempted to spawn them to get into them, been snapshotted by the prior CEs mechanics, lost the queue, been shown the middle finger by the third boss chest in Dalriada too many times albeit not as many as some others in this thread, and it's just left me defeated and demoralized every fruitless hour I spend in there.
I would rather farm release week Eureka Pagos or pre-nerf Yokai Watch.

I'm personally sick of all the RNG involved with getting these notes and just want a surefire way to get them with coins/clusters/mettle, because at least then we can see the finish line.

Unfortunately I believe they wont change Bozja until post EW release so I guess the content I'm looking forward to the most in Endwalker is sadly finally getting the bike from Shadowbringers because my luck with anything RNG related is trash at best. Help us YoshiP.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I do Dalriada, I can do Dalriada without getting hit once at this point. I'm popping in, and I get to the chest, and NOTHING. NOT A DARN THING!!!!

140 Runs. And a Dalriada run averages what, 40 minutes?? Thats almost 4 full days of my life spent doing this, not to mention waiting for it to queue up.

And I've only gotten the Mene note twice in all of those runs.

Maybe I'm broken. Maybe it doesnt drop for Midlanders. I've seen a lot of Lalas with the bike. Its broken and I hate this.

Not the OP but you can send suggestions/feedback through the in-game support desk.

Main Menu > Support Desk > Contact Us > Leave a Suggestion

You'll get a popup after submitting a suggestion saying 'someone will review it and pass to dev team if deemed necessary'.

The more people write regarding the same issue / sharing their data points and experiences, the more likely said issue might be thought necessary.

Also I really really wish you could practice the duels without depriving other people of the chance to attempt them.

To be honest, I'm not sure it looks good if you're playing anything other than a Midlander or a Viera. But it's from FFXII, that's all the reason I need to grind for it. Chalk it up to nostalgia, if you will.

Currently stuck at 47/50. I've given up on An Immoral Dilemma, that one just refuses to spawn...

That's because the mount doesn't scale with your character's size, so it looks pretty dumb when lalafells ride it. Other races are fine though, it's pretty cool.

As for the object of the thread, this is your typical case of #gitgud, thank god we still have some of those in the game, albeit sporadically. Do the duels. It's not hard to get in now thanks to the notoriety system and it's not hard to do them with the flare star cheese strat.

You need to trigger it by killing specific mobs.
