This game has serious free-rider problems and it's getting worse. A suggestion.

I did a Titania normal the other day and we had someone with someone in 50/60 gear.
He couldn't survive a normal AOE.
I said something, got a weird response.
We wiped and I tried to vote kick, but instead I got attacked like I was in the wrong...
Trash will defend trash I guess, but its telling that people hold a hand above people like that, and the guy had several 80's ^^"

I once had two deadweights appear in Titania. I saw they were with 60 level gear on the body side. Said nothing at the start, we started playing, the first aoe comes, both dead. I see my co-healer wasting his time rezzing both of them. I continue with my malefic spam and AoE healing. The DPS check comes and obviously, we fail it because the party is just not good enough to carry two deadweights.

All I said after the reset was: "We can't carry two deadweights." and so they left before getting kicked. But really, no one said anything to me. If they did, wow, they would have been very very stupid.

That's odd. We are in the same world. From what I have experienced, once the fact that X party member is a deadweight/leech/way too bad has been established, kicks go through. You can always ask some people who argue with reality how does someone who is Perma dead because of bad gear is not a deadweight and have them give their definition of a player being deadweight. They can't really win that argument. Make your party members associate the player that needs to be kicked with something bad and reason yourself appropriately and things will work out.

It is really difficult to get rid of leeches because you can't just say that they have dealt 1% of the boss HP. I avoid places like 24 man raids where parasites breed freely. In a dungeon, I can hold people accountable for doing nothing, though it is a rare sight. In 8 man raids, if I want to take my time I just stop playing entirely and spam different emotes on them. The last person I did that on started playing actually.

No thanks, your minimum threshold for people getting their items from content sounds like nonsense and totally disregards those with disabilities. You've thought clearly of nothing but your own benefit with this suggestion and it shows.

Further rewarding the top 1% is not healthy for the game either. We have enough exclusive things without giving every single piece of combat based content yet more 1% focused rewards. If someone is straight up afk refusing a rez, report that player and carry on your day. But I for one am not about to punish those players who do try their best but cannot keep up with content due to physical disability etc

Speaking as someone finally in the last legs of a relic quest (Yes I'm casual) Bozja's whole essence thing is...uh. Bad? It's quite bad.

I'm one of those DPS people who never has a DPS essence. I'd use one if I had one. I rarely even have good DPS Lost Actions. I work most of the day so I don't have a ton of time to spend grinding mobs to maybe get fragments that will maybe give me an essence I can actually use. I do try where I can, sometimes dumping clusters (I have given up hope for saving for the mount) or gil (I have given up hope for having gil) and I am currently at 0 for dps essences. When I do get them they're only good for one run of something or other (Pures can ONLY be used in DR).

If there were a way to reliably grind for them while also making relic progress I'd do it.

So far the best combo I've had going with whatever I end up getting is Beast and defensives. Doesn't make me an impressive party member but it gives healers with profane more openings to go ham.

I've so far done over 50 CLL runs. Literally every run I get at least one Martialist potion that replaces the one I used. I don't particularly like the system, but decent essences are easy as hell to get. It may be difficult to get your "preferred" or "ideal" essence, but using any essence is better than using no essence. Plenty of people use no essence at all.

Can’t really comment on Bozja stuff since I’m not there yet. But when it comes to leeching... its either that or a player being bored out of his mind for doing content for the 100th time (not talking about ppl going afk or staying dead, I guess those ppl are really insisting on a carry)? I think you stop giving your 100% after a certain point of redoing content over and over. I myself have gotten to the point where I’ll leave the duty at the beginning if I’m terribly not in the mood for that lvl 50 dungeon that I’ve done 50 million times...

Hi, disabled person here. I agree with the OP's suggestion.

The only thing I do not agree with in the OP is that instead of removing rewards, just give bonus rewards to those who are in that 80% threshold. Those in the 20% just get to keep the base rewards. Bad days happen and sometimes you are in that 20% range... irregardless of able status.

Pro tip for one disable person to another. It is hard to take you serious or the stance you have when you deflect so easily.

I mean they added Trusts with the thought of people having anxiety. So that example is not that good.
