You have absolutely no proof that someone is ignoring you just from their not replying in chat. It could be as simple as someone is playing on controller and doesn't have a keyboard. Or they may not have seen it.it's a multiplayer game where people play with each other to go through dungeons, raids etc where communication can go a long way
to me, ignoring someone that's directly talking to me is bad manners, especially when a simple "no" or "don't care" wouldn't have resulted in the OP's passive aggressive observation /shrug

All we got from the OP is that the player told them to "mind my role". Not sure if they said anything else as it isn't clear. Does the OP / you consider the old " you don't pay my sub" response flying off the handle or is there more the OP isn't sharing. Frankly seems tame to me to not really need it's own thread.oh, I'm not saying I'm surprised either, but that's because I know through experience that some players in XIV get really upset at absolutely everything, even if it's just jumping around in a dungeon or raid, or, lo and behold, use the chat to ask an innocent question
I just think it's absolutely, well, stupid?, to fly off the handle over what the OP said and makes me wonder in what kind of bubble they're living in if such a comment upsets them that much

I completely misread that post! I thought the OP said that the player called them all sorts of names!!
Isn't the OP allowed to have a bad reaction after being ignored? I have kicked and would kick people who are playing bad and refusing to communicate. I am your party member, you treat me as if I don't exist. Okay, then you don't exist as well, begone from the party.
People saying that the OP was toxic are mad. I am still trying to understand how you think that ignoring those who are legit carrying you is the smart way to do things. When you don't meet the standards expected in the random party you are in and don't explain why you are dragging us down you are out.
If I was OP and if the DNC was doing little to nothing, I would have sent just one to two messages. If they don't respond - kick, if it doesn't go through play or leave. I usually don't bother with DPS players. Tanks are the ones who can potentially disrupt my gameplay the most as I mainly play healer. Tanks pretending everything is fine in 70+ dungeons when they are pulling 3 mobs at a time and are not using cds on top of that are out. It's not that I need them to use cds to survive small pulls. I need them to show me that they are playing the game. You not communicating actually only increases your chances of getting kicked. Tanks who say stuff like "I will do it with my own pace" in 71+ will get the golden opportunity to do so with NPCs, not with real people that you are only going to disrespect. They get kicked easily because most of the time at least one DPS has enough common sense.
Like seriously, what is the point of using DF instead of Trust if are awful and you don't like human interaction. The npc-s can carry you as well. You only need to walk in front them.
I have been trained to assume silent and erratic players are bots, and kick them.
I honestly would have kicked them, and after the outburst, that would have been really funny. I wouldn't really call it toxic, though. Mostly just hilariously over the top. It's nothing you haven't seen for years on this game, and these people are a treasure.
Like the guy in my last Tower run who went the entire instance with the 50% resurrection penalty complaining in alliance chat that the WoW refugees were ruining his game (just doing quick math on it, at most they would be in late SB if they really booked it. The bad was coming from inside the house!). You just point and laugh, then move on.
heh this one is copying the same strat as TreasureIsland.
TreasureIsland wasn't that successful though so not sure why they'd copy that of all alts.
Lots of new player who come from WOW they run their dungeons different over there. It’s very serious, they use meters, and they don’t tolerate any game play outside of what they consider to be the “best”.
Get ready for it to get even worse here. I’m not saying that all wow players are like this, I used to play wow. Just with what’s going on and people leaving get ready for them to bring their toxicity to any all MMOs.
Jesus...
Something is very messed up with you if you honestly think that Dragonblanco conducted themselves in a toxic manner. There is no arguing about it or discussing why OP was not toxic. If you believe that they were toxic then intelligent discussions are not really your thing.
My guy, this has been the case on this game since I started playing back in HW. Nothing is going to change except people will be vocal about it, because they can hide behind of the facade of GCBTW with blaming sprouts.
We have an entire mega thread about bad players in DF.![]()
