As someone who started a bit after ARR was released I would love to get something for having played that long (perhaps a version of the dalamud horn or some title). But I don't think I deserve the legacy stuff, that is something for the legacy players. They earned it. As it is now I have stayed subbed for over 6 years and I no longer get veteran rewards.
It is really funny to read all these reasons why it should stay exclusive, but as soon as somebody uses the same reasons for PvP Ranked Seasons, they will be wrong ofc. Nice double standards
The title you are looking for is "Elite Cascadier" wich came from the very first seasonal event after ARR launch back in september 2013.As someone who started a bit after ARR was released I would love to get something for having played that long (perhaps a version of the dalamud horn or some title). It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.
I have titles from 1.0 that I cannot use, actually. Is this a bug? It says I got the achievement, but the title is not unlocked.
Looks like you have to contact a GM in game:
Greetings, meteor survivors.
We definitely appreciate all the hard work you put into your characters from the start of FINAL FANTASY XIV leading up to the time that Dalamud came inevitably crashing down on Eorzea, and it’s come to our attention that there are still cases where special titles achieved during this time period are not showing up properly.
If you’ve been affected by this and would like to restore your titles, as long as you have the achievement logged, you can contact a GM in-game and they will be happy to assist you with your request. Some of you may have made a request for this in the past, but were not able to obtain it from the GMs due to it not having been saved in your character data through the proper process. Please contact the GMs for this as well, and they will review the cases again to see if additional assistance is possible.

Legacy status was a gamble. When I started playing shortly after patch 1.23 and the game was actually sort of fun, if not quite fully functional, I decided to go ahead and pay the sub fee of $10 a month in case it worked out in my favor. We ended up going full Gamestonks in the end, but at the time I just figured I was probably wasting $30 for something that wasn't going to pan out.
So any time you see someone with a legacy title, or a legacy tattoo or chocobo, know that they bet against the system and won.
I would argue it isn't really the same thing, as feast rewards tend to be dominated by a small set of players actively preventing others from getting them, and the rewards themselves are limited in number, while legacy rewards were literally available to everyone.
You just didn't play.
Feast rewards were available to everyone too, you just didn't play.
